We can easily use the "Mention" features of chatter feed to get feedback faster and communicate seamlessly across teams about project updates. We can easily create groups, polls, and comments. If required we can share the attachment as well through these chatter features. We can send an email as well through the chatter feed. Even we can implement the API with the chatter so that we can tag, comment, attach files within a second.
I believe we cannot send a private message through the chatter. and also I have not seen any date filter to find the old chatter quickly. We cannot send an email to the external customer through the chatter. It means external customers won't receive an email in their inbox when we send through chatter feed. Apart from this, I don't remember any negative points.
1) Updating the comments. 2) Sending an email. 3) attaching the file to the chatter. 4) Tagging / mentioned the case requester for any updates.

Chatter is the main location for the most important communication regarding our accounts. By using Chatter, we are able to view the history of an account and get a high-level overview of what has happened in the past. It also allows us to tag our executives for any kind of approvals regarding an account opportunity.
There are some automated messages that are added into chatter that end up cluttering the section.
Chatter gives us a space for action items and communication with leadership regarding particular accounts and deals. We have many ways of getting in touch with each other but this is the best way to track the most valuable business insights and decisions.
Our company has started leveraging chatter more frequently. We are finding that it is a great method of keeping communication regarding a certain record on that record. It decreases the need to go searching in other places for the information and keeps everyone involved up to date.
We have noticed page load slowdowns. We are loading files which may contribute to that issue.
Prior to using chatter, information regarding an opportunity would exist in email and in different forums. Not everyone involved would be leveraging the same information. This ensures that all of the information stays accessible and in 1 places.

We don't have to wait for ask the expert on particular field. In Chatter we can ask anyone at anytime and then refer it at later time . Provides authenticity.
I love how easy chatter is to use. When using salesforce its great just to incorporate chatter to talk with my sales team and to assign tasks for them to complete without having to physically call them or write out an email. Chatter reminds me of a social media platform that only my co-workers and business partners are on. Really great way to share information. Chatter is very much helpful because it makes it very easy to also track sales and have immediate discussions with those involved in the sales process of that lead. The upside of chatter is there is a free trial period that gives you the chance to learn the chatter system before you pay for it .
I don't like that chatter isn't the most user-friendly when first setting it up. There is a learning curve which is about a week or so. Maybe it's just me because I'm so used to how Facebook user interface is. It may have taken me a little more time to learn chatter.
I solving a huge communication issue within my organization. We use to use another platform like chatter but it was hard to get everyone to switch over and stay consistent with it. Chatter makes it easier today because its more of a social platform to talk with business partners. It doesn't all have to be business you can even talk regular life and your social life. it's like a Facebook but much better to incorporate your business into.
Well, it's a great reminding feature and using it can be very helpful to yourself and absolutely to your colleague and manager. A salesperson can really take advantage of this. Every comment there would be documented, and you can follow up on a case easily even if you forgot something.
The layout can be improved, also there is a small difference using Chatter in Salesforce Classic vs Lightning.

Sometimes it can be difficult to locate the Chatter thread from the notification window. It would be nice if clicking the notification took you to the entire thread, not just the one message.

Internal communications has improved. Work efficiency with patients has as well.
What I love about chatter is being able to speak with patients or answer any questions the patients may have. We would use chatter on Salesforce for patients in rehabilitation centers who had questions about bills or just over all needs.

The software does not allow users to opt out of emails so they end up clogging the inbox, there should also be a way to filter and edit information send by Chatter. This will give a more customized experience
It Cuts down on the number of emails i send and receive by communicating with colleagues through tools within Chatter such as the news feed, group forums, file sharing and online chat.
Chatter is used in the organization for anyone who deals with customer or sales-facing activities. It allows the user to communicate within the product and allows conversations between teams to share information within an opportunity, as well as discuss existing tickets within Salesforce on the platform.
Hard to recognize Chatter and doesnt show any popups when the new alert comes through

i dont know what i dont like about this plattform. it seems fine to me and i can't complain about it at all. just use if for what ever you want to use it at work! and i don't really know what to write now to get all the 40 words together instead of i want just to say that i'm thankful that this was created for us.
i don't really have a problem for which i need to use chatter. it is just convenient to write with you colleagues over this platform instead of talking to them or so..
I like EVERYTHING. It simplifies my job, makes everything all in one place and so simple and easy to understand. I don't think that since using this I had to explain much at all to students.
Nothing, as I stated we absolutely love Chatter.
