I love the fact that I can chat with website visitors using my mobile phone, so basically at any time that is convenient for me to talk with prospective customers.
I wish there was a 'scheduled log on' feature, as I have to manually set when I am available to chat on the app. If there was a 'show as online from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.', that would be most welcome.
No major problems. The benefits include being able to engage through the mobile app with visitors no matter where I am - no enquiry or visit goes by without giving the visitor an opportunity to engage in real time.
It's free. Seriously, not enough can be said about good free services. Aside from it being free integration is seamless, the UI is great and very easily adjustable. The ticket system has been a life saver for resolving customer issues.
The fact that you need refresh and remind the software you are there is a little annoying. I would have preferred it to run in the background and just assume I'm available until I physically log out. That is really my only complaint.
We needed a chat for our site. We had tried other paid services like zendesk and they had a lot of bugs, like switching customer names mid chat, disconnecting etc. Also, the zendesk chat didn't seem to integrate with our new frontend. We needed a quick solution as the new frontend was buggy and we wanted to ensure that the customers could contact us if there was ever an issue.

That you have to login to their website outside of our Shopify account. But once it is logged in it no longer makes you do that.

Sometimes the dashboard information is incorrect. It wasn't too much of a problem because Google Analytics gives you all the same information. But if they have it I'd rather have it be accurate.

Tawk is a super helpful chat tool. I love that several people can view and join the same chat -- you can even join chats as another customer service representative in case the first representative got caught up in another task, which keeps the customer experience smooth and seamless.
I wish there was an auto log off of some sort to ensure that no one accidentally stays logged in past their work hours.
Adding a chat function to our business has greatly improved our customer communications. It solves customer problems in real time without them having to pick up the phone to call us, which many customers prefer not to do.
The cost of entry is free, which in of itself does not make a great product, but it helps when you are trying to determine how to enter the market of live online support. Where this really wins me over is the cost coupled with it's feature-set. You are able to communicate live with your customers across desktop and mobile, and still the base price is free. It has opened up a world of support that my customers deserve to have. And this coupled with other products like Droplr has been a real boon for my business.
I would like to see some improvements in the client interfaces. They feel at times a bit clunky and hard to understand. This is particularly the case when it comes to online/offline/hidden modes. It is very confusing how some of these features work. Also it would be nice to see some more polish to the UI in general.
Communicating with active and potential customers has been blown wide open for me. I am able to connect with clients and potential clients without any hassle. This increases my ability to support existing customers, but also win over potential customers because they know they can reach me easily.
This was not only extremely easy to sign up and install, but the ability to customize the interface to blend in with the rest of my website is great. It's also very user friendly, very intuitive. I'm recommending this to any of my clients that would also like a chat program for their websites. This product is great - and it's free, which is shocking. I'd pay a one time fee if I had to for something like this - I was going to build my own, but the fact that this is free is very much appreciated. I also really like the business model, and if I find that my business needs in relation to customer support increase I'd be happy to purchase anything they have to offer at that time.
There isn't anything I've found just yet that I can complain about. I'm just filling up this 'dislike' box because I have to at this point.
Providing multiple paths of communication for all customers is awesome. Some users like live chat, some just want to use a contact form, and others like to talk on the phone. I'm now offering all forms of communication, and this chat program is the icing on the cake of my website.
First of all, its free! I've tried different online support platforms to integrate a live chat on my site and this is the best one I've found. Its really easy to setup and it also provides an app for many platforms (I'm using it on my mac and iphone) to keep track (and answer) all requests. It even has a real time visitos tracking! :)
I find that the mac app sometimes hungs unexpectedly. Or closes the session without any warning. This is the only think I dislike.

The notification alert settings are simple to set up but they do not work for some time, which causes us to miss the chat. However, we have worked around this issue by sending us an email for any missed chat
We are a software product company and we have multiple websites but a common support team. Tawk helps us to receive chats from all sources in one common dashboard thus making it easy for me and my team to be able to respond to all queries. We can also set up response shortcuts which we can access with a shortcut key thus saving us time and to reply to the waiting customer fast.
Tawk is amazing, it is the best free live chat solution for any business. I have been using it for over 6 months now, and I couldn't be happier. It is packed with features and integrates with many big eccomerce apps.
The only thing I dislike is the emails. I only have one live chat agent and myself that replies to requests; whenever we miss a request, I recieve two emails, it isn't the end of the world but it's a pain. Going through the settings, you can't change it either. The customer service team is also okay; it's definitely not the best. All the things they say are just copy and pasted from a script they have.
Tawk is offering a free live chat service to smaller businesses like ours, it is free, has unlimited seats, and no features are locked behind paywalls. Our small business can't afford to spend $100 USD+ every month on a live chat service, and talk does everything plus more for free.
I know Tawk Chat very well since my first job. It appeared to be very helpful to communicate with online visitors and automate some of that communication. No I often use Tawk on my personal landing pages. For example if there is a vacancy on our website, I ask to add Tawk code on that page so I can reply to candidates immediately.
The best way to use Tawk is on the desktop. The mobile app is good, but I would prefer more "aggressive" notifications options, so I do not miss out on any of the messages. And believe me, I often miss them.
Tawk.to is the code for online chat installed on some of the projects websites I work with. With a mobile app on my phone I can reply instantly to visitors. A good option for everyone. If I cannot reply, I just forward the visitor to another free agent.
Tawk is an online chat which offers almost all PRO features like triggers, automation, agent management, and widget management for free. It also has a good mobile app. You can install TAWK to as many of your websites as you wish, and again - it's free.
It is unfair to complain about something you get as a freemium. If you use Tawk long enough to learn all of its features, there is nothing to complain. If they add a feature to integrate Tawk with some other messengers - that would be fantastic.
If any of my websites or websites of my customers need an online chat, I install Tawk. For many years it is the most trusted service for online chat option both for online shops and for other commercial websites. Very informative, nice notifications, good statistics and user info.
