The best part about using spatial chat is the possibility to customize your meeting and be with everyone simultaneously without being too noisy
Nothing. It is the best solution in online meetings for work
I use it to emulate a regular day in our Company. My coworkers log in and we work all day. If we need to focus, we simply distance ourselves from the others for some time. I also use it to promote virtual happy hours
Everything! The possibility to change backgrounds and arrange more than one room per section is fantastic!
Only 50 people per room. If it would be possible to have at least 150 will be great!
Easy way to connect. More engagement as it is a funny and productive way to meet. Focus on what is said and not too much worried about the camera positions or speaker's background.
Spatial.Chat is very intuitive, simple and easy to use. It provides a natural way to interact online with small to large groups
I haven't really found a downside for the applications we have used it for.
The platform has helped us to interact in a fairly natural way whilst separated due to Covid lockdowns and has proven to be a useful conference format for social interaction space
I love the spatial audio feature of SpatialChat - that you can move to different areas to have side conversations. It's just like real-life. I also like that you can speak naturally with each other - no weird audio distortions and disruptions. I also like how fun and playful it is!
The only thing I can think of is that the people are too small on the platform. I wish we could have 'larger' images of each other - because I find myself I'm always zooming into 200% to increase seeing others... I wish that could be a lot bigger!
I've been using SpatialChat mostly to create connections with others in a more natural way. I think it's a great platform to have conversations that are more relaxed and natural.
Easy to navigate, and guests understand how to use the platform quickly. Guests are impressed with the space and functionality immediately. They like that they can meet virtually outside of Zoom. As an admin, I can easily make updates on the fly, upload my own backgrounds, embed images, GIFs, and videos. I've used the platform for various clients and activities, from fun, team building events to educational journeys.
I dislike how small the avatar video is. People don't want to zoom in to see other people better. Also, the only security is a single password, which any guest can easily share.
A more engaging way for people to meet virtually, outside of Zoom. Users are more energized to meet in Spatial Chat and don't complain about zoom fatigue. There have been times we had to kick users out because they didn't want to leave the space.
Sound by proximity feels like real life!
Screen sharing was a bit tricky. If SpatialChat were also a desktop app, I think this could be resolved.
Having virtual online reunions with people of many ages.
Unlike many other systems, Spatial chat's use of circular videos for attendees mean much less cognitive load. You don't have a screen full of faces staring at you. Also the ability for each attendee to choose their own zoom of the stage is very good.
Sometimes the video or audio quality could be better.
We are using Spatial to remotely solve complex software requirements where we have multiple groups of people.
We enjoyed the ease of use and short learning curve. Our attendees liked the ability to move around the space and interact with folks, as well as the ability to move aside and have more personal conversations. Customizing the background and entering a personal profile that was visible to attendees were also features that were easy to use and appreciated.
It would have been nice if we could assign more roles beyond admin and attendee. It would be nice to be able to "tag" speakers or other folks that made it fast for other attendees to identify.
Our goal was to have a virtual event that mimicked a general networking event as closely as possible. In this regard, we felt SpatialChat was a success. The feedback from our attendees was very positive.
The customer service was impeccable. Our Spatial Chat account manager was terrific to work with. Responsive, collaborative, and always helpful, we felt supported, and she was a key contributor to the success of our event on Spatial Chat. The Spatial chat platform was an intuitive, innovative, and easy-to-use platform that fit our needs to accommodate a wide audience. We evaluated several other platforms in-depth and Spatial Chat was the clear choice.
Lack of available analytical and quantitative data and the inability to have 1:1 messaging. I believe the communications feature will be enhanced.
Presenting innovative research, panel discussions, poster sessions, keynote chats.
SpatialChat has a physical presence for the participant that is missing from other platforms such as zoom, teams, etc. By that I mean they can move their icon around the screen. This simple functionality brings two amazing benefits: - People can only be influenced to do things and only do them if they choose to and when they are ready. Being forcefully removed by a producer from a conversation can't be done here and it dramatically changes the feel of the platform in a very positive way - Their physical presence allows people to communicate 'with their feet' as it were. Voting, aligning to ideas, etc are all possible as they are in person Its very easily customisable and with a creative brain you can easily develop engaging and powerful experiences for people
The risk when screen sharing of the feed failing and people not seeing the (usually slide deck) being shared. The ability to upload a deck to it would be a great next step. Thats all the issues i've had with it. There are simple additions that would enhance the space further.
Participant engagement is much higher. The physicality allows us to re-explore what we used to do in person into a digital space as well and its much quicker when well run than say zoom.
Attendees to our Mentorship Conference really told me that they felt closer than they had felt to their colleagues in a long time. We have all been working from home since the start of the Pandemic and Spatial Chat really brought us together - almost literally.
The text fields and graphics could use more creativity. I imagine something like Mural in the spaces to create more out of such a cool space.
We are bringing people together when we can't be in the same room. We also held a first-time virtual global event outside of Zoom. People have zoom fatigue
Love the capability to customize each space
Would like to be able to collect data to understand who was using the platform
Nothing really
I love that you can customize this platform to your needs and break through the usual day-to-day virtual events we attend. This platform truly provides a unique, interactive experience. Since the experience is one of a kind, we noticed a higher level of engagement for those who attended. Pros: - Customizable (appearance and access) - Different levels of access (Admin, host, attendee) - User friendly and easy to navigate with little training - Flexible purchase options to fit your specific needs - Helpful resources available to help you navigate the set up of your space as needed
There are few downsides to this platform in our experience. The few suggestions are minor and did not hinder our ability to host a great event. Cons: - No recording option which would have been helpful for some of our presentations - The screen share option is difficult to operate with only one screen, especially if you need to see comments/activity in the event space while you are sharing - Re-sizing images and pinned content is tricky. Only one corner allows you to expand an image which requires multiple attempts of expanding, then moving, then expanding more.
We used Spatial Chat to connect our employees with various employee benefit vendors for benefits fair. We have a workforce located across the country, so we can only share this information through a virtual platform to connect with everybody. The space allowed our employees to move freely between rooms and didn't require our team to assign attendees to specific spaces, which was an issue we had when searching other platforms. Spatial Chat offered an interactive way to share helpful information in one place and allowed attendees to ask questions.
Using spatial.chat offered features easy to understand, as they were oriented to analogue habits (sound shifting with the distance to other participants, changing rooms individually, background fitting visually any topic). Link for participation was set by user, no registration for participants needed. Most helpfull of all was the customer support providing any attention needed and in short time.
Language used for the features (English) was not adaptable. You need to run check-in in different rooms parallel with more than 30 participants.
We can not run our annual events for trying to reduce effects of the pandemic and had to go online. Spatial chat offered features to even built up own fun activities on. Appart from offering educatonal contents, also socialising aspects could take place. Additionally we could reach out for participants in distance aswell.
There is no there platform out there that gives participants networking and interaction options like Spatial Chat.
Its a relatively new application so we would like to see more security features.
The biggest problem that we are solving is to offer a solution to Zoom Fatigue. Zoom events are boring and are losing interest. SpatialChat give guests a unique experience and is the next generation for virtual events.
- Participants can spontaneously decide with whom they want to talk (no pre-arranged groups or registrations needed, they can join a group of people or a room/session of interest) - Very low learning curve for new users - Rooms can be designed with emotional themes (audio/video content etc.) - works without app in browser - excellent performance
- Management of the user rights for creating the content/layouts of multiple rooms at the same time was still a bit weak, but has already improved nicely and more is on the roadmap
- How to create a virtual marketplace/fair where people can spontaneously decide to join different sessions/presentations - Creating an informal space for networking with global colleagues and executives
The space was easy to customize for branding purposes, had a simple user interface on both the back end and the attendee side, and it allowed for more organic networking connections than on other platforms.
It was challenging to get customer support in real-time, due to the US/European time difference.
SpatialChat allowed us to have an upscale virtual networking mixer with several breakout rooms to allow for both large scale and intimate conversations.
The concept of a virtual space where you can move around like in the real world is the best. Users can share their screens at the same time without having to relinquish control. You can also customize your space by pinning images, videos and GIFs; this brings more ownership to the space and makes it feel like home. The free version is excellent and flexible, allowing you to assess if your team benefits from this tool or not before spending a dime on it. They're also continuously improving the tool, adding more and more nice features.
Honestly, there isn't much to say. Some team members had issues while accessing via phone and/or with no excellent connection (the screen being shared was black for them).
Team collaboration is the main one. With SpatialChat I saw an increase in team collaboration and effective communication.
It provides an experience that tries to closely replicate your regular work environment. With spatial audio, you can also feel as if you cannot listen to a person far away.
It would be better to have avatars and give this a 3D touch. Metaverse is the future and this could be a big piece in the jigsaw and create an unmatched experience.
Not solving any problems as such as of now. Attended a demo of the app. As much as it is useful for teams to collaborate together, I don't feel there's a demand currently from our customers.
Provide custom spaces, for manage meets with differents teammates
Sometimes I feel that tan consumption it's a lot
Interact with my team members like in real life
