Toptal provides good opportunities for learning and growth. Especially with certification program guides, talent coaching programs, and tech talks. Toptal team is very helpful in resolving your issues/concerns on many matters including payments, our profiles, client engagements, etc.

I'm still in my 1st engagement. So far I have faced no difficulty with the platform or people.

Positioning our capabilities for the customers/clients and getting hired is the biggest challenge in other remote work/freelancing platforms. Toptal solves that by onboarding freelancers through a very challenging recruitment process. Then provide jobs we can apply for based on our experience/capabilities.

The thing that I like the most about Toptal is the extensive selection of great and challenging projects you can work on. The platform also makes it easy to match talent with clients and requires minimum work on the talent side. Another huge benefit is that the payments are regular and on time, with everything handled by Toptal.

Getting into the Toptal platform is difficult and requires a lot of preparation and several interview rounds, but it is definitely worth the effort. Also, depending on the jobs you are looking for and how you perform in clients interview, it can take some time to get your first gig.

It allowed me to work for high-paying clients that I wouldn't be able to get without the platform. Also, because of the hard vetting process by Toptal, only high-level professionals can enter the platform, making it easy to get your first client, as there is less competition for the same job between talents.

I have a great variety of projects available at all times and I don't have to think about payments. Toptal handles it all for me. It gives me a sense of security to focus on what I am best at, writing code.

The only thing that can be thought of as a negative is that this is a remote only company and you don't have people to talk to in person but for regular meetups.

Toptal makes the life of developers easier as they handle everything and care about their developers. They have great rates that you can comfortably live in any country worldwide.

Not always easy to find an engagement quickly. But I have specific expertise in my field, and I think that is the main reason.

They handle the payment process and legal sides, I think that is the most powerful and comfortable side for me. They have an active and highly talented network worldwide

The support and jobs available on the platform and team behind. The salaries are a quite big plus as well

The clients are not always as responsive, as one would like. The net20 payments, but it's industry standard

The platform gives you lots of resources and guidance to make your project successful. Referral bonuses are very high. Also, you can get reimbursement for many certifications. At the same time, you don't need to bargain with the clients regarding financial matters.

Not every project is super-interesting or well-organized. But still, you can decide which ones to take and leave on 2-weeks notice, so that's not a big deal.

In many freelance platforms, after registering, you have to work hard (often for meagre wages) to prove that you are a good developer. Being accepted by the Toptal network proves this fact by itself.

Toptal allows me to work for incredible clients, in my own way, in my own pace. It gives me freedom to manifest myself professionally and personally. And it has the best support so any engagement is the best it can be.

It can take a while to find engagements depending on my requirements, but opportunities are always showing up and Toptal's team's always willing to help us doing so.

I receive too many emails asking for feedback on jobs, interviews, etc.. I understand those are valuable but sometimes I just don't have additional feedback.

I like the variety of jobs, as a game developer I didn't think I would find a job this fast, but I struck a job in less than a week from joining the platform. Pay is really good and Toptal recruites and matchers are so pleasnt to work with

The only thing I dislike is that after you land a job, it takes a long time, from when the payment is paid to when you get money in your account. But it's something you get used to after a while

It's conneting me with top paying clients which are looking for freelancers that want to work on something that matters. None other freelance platform I was part of was able to deliver something close to the experience I have here.

At points it might be harder for part-timers to find jobs, but even when waiting there are things to do!

Billing and Invoice, also finding the right clients for us. Helped me get a lot of clients and I live stress-free from the normal hassle of a freelancer to whom Billing might be too overwhelming.

Services and support from the Toptal team are just incredible. Besides, you can find the project that may be in your best interest, there are a lot of opportunities.
