I most recently used Weebly to create a website for a small business my team and I developed for a project. One thing I don't like about Weebly is that if you have begun designing your site and want to change to a different template, it isn't easy. It involves a lot of back-end hassle and ends up moving things around. A great work around for this is taking a look into Weebly's online forums to see how other users navigated frustrations that they were/are having while designing their sites.

I like how easy it is to customize your page. There is a flexibility like most other sites simply do not have and it helps when you want your page to look exactly the way you formatted and pictured it in your head.

I don't like that you have to buy a plan to get 'weebly' out of the web address. It sort of makes it confusing for people who are looking for a specific site when you're only a student and can't afford to publish your projects on your own.

We are creating a greater reach to our audience. It seems that people are getting their news and resources online more and more and the blog helps offer ideas, information, and tips on how they can be better stewards.

I love how easy-to-use Weebly is. You need absolutely zero web design knowledge to make a sharp looking site. I also like that Weebly doesn't use an "ecosystem" strategy like some of their competitors. They have add on products, but don't actively build the product to force you into using them. You can use pretty much any marketing technology with Weebly, which isn't the case with every "drag and drop" builder. The mobile builder is pretty good as well. For someone with basic web design needs, you can't go wrong with Weebly IMO.

It has a bit less functionality than some of its competitors. I found creating a slideshow pretty challenging without a 3rd party plugin. It uses a little more strict design templates, which can be limiting at times. A few more of the "bells and whistles" would be nice, but I'm sure they'll get there.

I needed a basic website, without wanting to write HTML and CSS, and didn't want to be limited in the tools I could use alongside it (i.e. other marketing tech like scheduling tools).

It is very easy to use. It has decent design options. Really good functionality just for the free version. Really useful tools like form builders. Good price and pricing options. There are also good blogs out there which offer good custom tips for Weebly.

While it has decent robust designs there are other good competitors which offer better looking designs.

We used it as a short term solution for our organisation's website. Weebly was robust and enough and reliable enough to keep us afloat in the short term. The only reason we didn't stay with Weebly was because we implemented multiple applications in our organisation that needed a custom website.

If you are looking at building a website and either are just starting off or do not have a lot of time to actually spend making your own please give Weebly a try! This product is great because it offers so many different packages on weather you want the whole golden ticket which would include all the basics and google ad's (GREAT GREAT GREAT for marketing! ) and email marketing and a free domain at a competitive price of $49 per month. Speed and security and pricing are all pros for me when I used Weebly.

One big downside of Weebly when I used it was the content management system. It seems pretty easy to use and you can manage all the pages on your site, but lets say you have 10 plus pages on your site... The system is not very efficient. If you are into advanced marketing tools such as EV SSL, and or custom email tools you may feel this is a little behind the time. It does have basic marketing tools, which are great to use if you are just starting!

I used Weebly for personal use of a small business I was trying to start off in the apparel industry. I was new to the website building world and read great reviews about the ease of helpfulness of Weebly. The prices were great to start off with and they really helped me market my business and get traffic on my website which turned into sales! Win Win for me!!

I like that you can quickly and easily set up a website in a relatively short time. I also like the professional look of the sites you can build.

I wish there was a bit more customization available to certain aspects of the sites.

Overall the pricing was good. The free with no expiration is a pretty good deal when I need to build temporary sites.

When I create many pages, it starts to get difficult to use. I would want to easily manage my contents.

Like I have mentioned, many times, we need to build temporary websites for events. It is very easy to make and erase.

Weebly is constantly adding and updating features in their solution. They make it incredibly easy for a team to collaborate on initial site creation and maintenance. They also partner with a ton of other companies, making it easy to build a "total" solution.

I would love to see better analytical reporting offered. They have the basics, but I want even more!

We needed a refresh of our internet presence, and Weebly was an easy and affordable solution. I completely built our site from scratch to launch in less than 2 weeks while only spending a couple of hours daily on it. And most of that time was spent in the planning stages...not actually building the site.

Based on some simpler templates you can get a website up and running in hours that still functions and has good browser/mobile visibility. From start to finish it really only takes a short time to publish and promote.

As with any template based system there are times you just can't "do" what you "envision" and at times that can be frustrating. If you have to over-think something a lot of times you tend to lose the momentum and creativity you had in the first place. Not their fault, really. Just the typical limitations of trying to provide a lot to many.

Domain purchase to launch and promote in one of the shortest times ever. Far more robust and user-friendly UI than others such as GoDaddy, etc.

I recently got into a debate with coworkers about whether wordpress or weebly is a better platform. After talking about user interface and overall benefits, weebly was the clear winner. I like weebly because it's easy to get started and there are not a lot of complicated issues.

One negative of weebly is that the design features are more limited. As someone who dabbles in photgraphy and writing, I like to monkey around with special features and layouts. But overall this is not a big drawback to me! I would still highly recommend it.

Weebly has allowed us to build websites for small ministries and other task forces that would like to have a site but have no budget. We previously used google sites but weebly looks much more professional. I like how people don't need a lot of hand holding.

Weebly has a great WIZWIG. My specialty isn't in building websites, it's more so in content creation. So being able to easily throw together a website with the user-friendly tools Weebly offers is a life saver.

There are a few more advanced things that I wish I could do with Weebly (ex that comes to mind is creating anchor links). And as user friendly as it is, sometimes the website doesn't save my progress.

Page navigation and management, As pages get a lot, it tends to be disorganised and messy to sort out. Weebly needs to come out a better way of managing pages when it gets more than 30 pages.

Business problem solved: Helps to roll our website quickly. Benefits: I am able to roll out my website(s) in a fairly quick manner, depending on the size, it normally take 2 weeks to 4 weeks to roll out a complete website with navigational header and content.

The WYSIWYG site creation is great for quick and easy site creation, and it's great being able to see a preview of the mobile version in the same place.

Sometimes the drag-and-drop functionality can be touchy and/or glitchy. It's also unfortunate that you have to pay for so many of the useful features.

We needed to create a microsite to celebrate our company's 50th anniversary, and Weebly made it dead-easy to throw together a great-looking site in no time.

The reason I switched to Weebly for both my professional and personal websites is ease of use. While I felt comfortable editing websites in more traditional web tools, Weebly has enabled me to add various office staff to my team without the need for them to understand in depth web tools. The entire interface is drag and drop, so anyone can not just add text or images, but build an entire page from scratch.

The disadvantage of Weebly is that there is less overall flexibility in design than something like wordpress or expression engine. Also, while drag and drop makes designing easy, it doesn't ensure good design, and I wish they had more pre-formated sections to choose from that I could drag in all at once. Also, it is not set up for building really good portfolios, especially if there is a mix of media between photos and videos.

The problem Weebly is solving for us is that I used to be the only one to update our site, but now any office staff is capable of updating information as needed. This decentralization and simplicity of the tool has given me more time to focus elsewhere.

I like best the fact that I am in no way a html programmer and I have still built over 5 beautiful and functional websites for personal and small business use. I've even made a couple for someone else. This is free and relatively easy user friendly website builder. You can choose items you want and simply click and drag them into place. That's it- you're done-now all you have to do is add your content. You can easily link buttons to other pages within your website or to other sites, add photos, write content, add documents, and even a store that allows you to choose formats of payment. There are many themes to choose from as well, which is great if you have some type of style in mind. You can also add as many pages as you like and make each page as long as you need with as much content as you like. There's even a BLOG that you can just click and drag- how easy is that?

I guess I would say unfortunately it has been difficult getting responses back to help inquiries via email. Perhaps they are better when you give them a call. I also dislike that when you try out themes, you can lose some of your formatting and have to start all over again.
