Setapp have consistently added new apps. I've discovered found some really useful utilities I didn't know I needed. Even if I only use them occasionally, it's great to know I have them available when I need them.
The only downside would be having to switch back to individual product licenses if you closed your Setapp account.

Setapp bundles hundreds of useful apps in a single subscription price. The monthly fee is worth is for CleanMyMac X *alone*, but you also get unlimited access to a whole library of useful utilities and tools, some of which are now essential and integrated into my daily workflow.
There's an app for just about everything. Think of it like having a whole toolbox at your disposal. Maybe you just use a hammer, but you have a job for a rubber mallet. It's like you have a magic toolbox, you just reach in there, and suddenly you have a rubber mallet at your disposal. I'm more productive on my Mac because of Setapp and all the bundled apps.

To be honest there are tools I don't use but nothing negative I can say about Setapp.
I use Setapp for a number of things, Clean My Mac helps maintain our systems and keep them running smoothly. we use other apps for tracking time, finances, and calendars, we use mind-mapping software out of the toolset. Literally, 45 platforms or so, the cost of one of them is more than the entire cost of Setapp itself. I could not recommend Setapp more highly to any Mac user.

The best set of tools you can find for Mac and apple device users. I use at least one app per type and I'm trying that I never thought I'd buy, but since I'm there, I use them.

When you're trying to get things done the answer should always be yes, with SetApp those roadblocks almost never show up.
The cost does add up over time so there's that. It's a privilege to talk of the subscription fee as a thing which takes away financial barriers. What it really does is smooth that barrier out and make it affordable but it may still be out of reach for some.
As an independent freelance business my cash flow isn't always ready for those moments where I suddenly have a specific situation with a client that is infrequent but urgent in the moment. Often these are moments where you'd think "I bet there's an app for that" and wind up on the app store trying to make do with a free / freemium - you know, where you later discover the one thing you really wanted is behind the paywall, etc... But now that I have SetApp this is almost NEVER an issue because invariably I find far more often than not checking there first provides exactly what I needed. It's true there may only be one or two options for that thing, but they're always up to the task. The "free" apps in SetApp are not junk apps, they are premium apps I wouldn't want to buy if I only needed them once or twice but thanks to SetApp I can.
