Having multiple options to send money and an added layer of documentation has helped with my business tremendously. Also when one check got lost, they issued a replacement at no charge!
Wish they had an ap but that is more of a recommendation than a dislike.
Having a third party with added documentation and a paper trail to vendors. Been very handy.
The staff is amazing, customer service is prompt, and the dashboard is very easy to use.
No API for automated ACH payments, otherwise everything else is great.

I was unable to cancel a failed payment even though melio had given the refund instantly back to my account and I had created a new bill. Not a problem just a slight annoyance

Melio has a clean look with an easy-to-add invoice system, literally uploads and picks up the texts making data entry simple and not as time-consuming, all while being cost friendly
I cant make recurring monthly invoices to get sent, for example, a monthly subscription-based customer we still have to create the invoice and send manually
As a micro-business struggling to be attractive and modern without the added cost to do so Melio makes it simple and fast to receive and request payments from businesses that still like to do everything with a paper check. We like accountability so many transactions are electronic now. It eliminated late payments or excuses for why payments are late
You can choose who gets charged credit card service fees (meaning you can choose the customer to get charged 2-3% instead of your business) which no other platform allows you to do. Scheduling payments is a breeze. You can upload your invoices or you can create one manually quickly and painlessly. You don't have to collect private bank information from your contractors, instead, Melio contacts them directly to receive their information which reduces security risks to your business. Overall it's a great platform for small business owners who work with many contractors.
It takes three business days for bank transfers to complete, so you need to plan a few days for processing if you want your payments to be delivered on time. It also does not connect to my invoicing system, Wave Apps.
Customers can use a credit card for payments and the credit card fees don't have to come out of my payment amount. I can do direct deposits for my contractors for free and I don't have to collect their private bank information to get connected.
The user interface is so clean and simple to use. It's focused, does exactly what I need it to do and saves me a lot of time and hassle. I use Melio to pay bills for five different businesses and it makes it a breeze!
There are a few features I would like to see added to the process but they are constantly rolling out new updates and improvements so I bet it's just a matter of time.
Allows us to easily pay multiple vendors for different businesses with one log-on and one easy-to-use interface. As your accounts and vendors are set up in the system, it's a total breeze to get the bill payment done efficiently and fast. I used to dread doing the bills and now I look forward to it! I know that sounds crazy but it's true. The interface makes it fun!
Melio has been fantastic in automating our vendor payment process. We have been able to streamline all our Accounts Payable payments to either ACH or CC along with being able to integrate into QB for a seamless process.
As Melio is continuing to improve its software, it would be helpful to have an additional field for remittance email addresses and a field for sales email addresses since this information will be written over when the account is synced in QB.
Melio has helped reduce our paper checks to a very minimal amount and provides our vendors with communication when payments are released. This has improved our payment processes and cash flow along with strengthening our vendor relationships.

some features need to be added. ex Drag and Drop to add a bill and emailing forwarding

Someone paid with their credit card and their credit card was rejected. I thought it was on Melio's end. They helped me solve the issue with the client.

I am a VA with clients in multiple states. Melio helps me ensure that all my clients payments are made in a timely manner without having to wait for an update that a check has been processed on the clients end.

Ease of use, ability to do both AR and AP tasks, approval process.
Sometimes payments failed due to nature of the payment or client has to pay via a different form of payment due to nature of payment (again).
It makes AR and AP less stressful.

Melio is easy to use and has a great interface. Melio integrates with the systems and the banks we use keeping things very simple, and saving us time and money. Highly recommend.
Would love to see direct integration with Zoho Books.
We had issues being able to pay our contractors through one unified system. Melio solved that problem for us.

The only suggestion I have is to allow non-business vendors to make payments to us.

Melio does not currently integrate with Xero.
I'm able to manage my firm's internal accounts payable directly within QuickBooks Online, which saves time and ensures that the transaction is entirely recorded within the system. Melio continues to mature and add features and I continue to look for clients who may make sense to use Melio.
It's easy to use, easy to navigate, and the fact that I can use it for free if I have a business bank account is huge, also.
They did have a problem interacting with QuickBooks Online a year ago, but it appears to be fixed now.
Paying my virtual staff needs a virtual solution, and this is nicely taken care of with Melio.
I like the user friendly capabilities and ease of use.

Payroll solutions on the go. It allows me to pay contractors from my phone and integrate with Quickbooks.
My team is able to pay client bills in a cost-effective, and time-efficient manner.
The approval process can be difficult to set up, and more than one bill can not be paid at a time.
The time spent paying bills and then recording the payment in the accounting software. This save my team time and money.
