I dislike Melio's speed of payment for some payments, but I am not sure if that is a Melio issue or a receiver issue.
I am using Melio fo my ACH transactions because my bank does not readily offer it.
I love being able to receive ACH payments without having to pay a fee! Other payment processing companies I've used charge a fee for this. Also, love the option of paying with a card to earn CC points.
Would love a faster turn around time on the deposits, but know going in that it may take about a week to receive. Still worth it in order not to have to pay a fee.
I'm able to save money on my bottom line by using Melio. Bank and merchant charges certainly add up, so I'm happy to minimize the amount that are taken from me and put that money back into my company.
Melio Saves me time writing checks as it can directly debit my account and send a paper check or ach payment to my vendor.
Melio now charges a 2.9% fee on debit and credit cards. They also charge $1.50 after the first 2 checks each month. It is also sometimes it is a little slow for US Mail to arrive to the recipient. Perhaps you could mail from multiple locations (ie, one on eastcoast and one on westcoast.)
I am able to pay my providers directly. It sends them an email so they know/trust that payment is on the way.

While the send-check function is still worlds-better than the 1990s style interface that my bank offers, the interface could be improved by allowing me to type in specific information for each line to be printed on a mailing envelope. Support sent me a pdf of the guidelines. The whole process should be more WYSIWYG in the browser and allow for multi-line addresses for multi-department businesses.
Before Melio, getting paid via ACH or Debt was hard to do online. Melio is the most direct-bank-accounting-integrated service I could find with a fee-free option. Melio also "just works" when compared to my national bank interface, which is far less flexible and crashes on iOS.
There are so many great things about Melio. First, the innovative integration with QB makes scheduling a breeze, Second, vendors love the option to expedite their payment for a small fee. Third, it is so simple and user friendly. It was very easy to learn and it is incredibly reliable.
The only issue I have with Melio is there is definite room for improvement in reporting. I would like the ability to create detailed reports for payments. I also wish that the Noon deadline was pushed back to later in the day.
Melio is solving the main issue of most clients where the bank charges outrageous and excessive wire & ACH fees. As long as you can wait the 4 business days for delivery, this ACH option is the best way to go.
Melio offers incredibly easy handling of processing payments , so much so that it has integrated tracking of invoices and a super easy and intuitive interface allowing clients to easily pay balances
The only thing I dislike is the lack of support for European countries, I do a lot of businesses internationally and sometimes its difficult having to juggle processors

You can choose who gets charged credit card service fees (meaning you can choose the customer to get charged 2-3% instead of your business) which no other platform allows you to do. Scheduling payments is a breeze. You can upload your invoices or you can create one manually quickly and painlessly. You don't have to collect private bank information from your contractors, instead, Melio contacts them directly to receive their information which reduces security risks to your business. Overall it's a great platform for small business owners who work with many contractors.
It takes three business days for bank transfers to complete, so you need to plan a few days for processing if you want your payments to be delivered on time. It also does not connect to my invoicing system, Wave Apps.
Customers can use a credit card for payments and the credit card fees don't have to come out of my payment amount. I can do direct deposits for my contractors for free and I don't have to collect their private bank information to get connected.
My team is able to pay client bills in a cost-effective, and time-efficient manner.
The approval process can be difficult to set up, and more than one bill can not be paid at a time.
The time spent paying bills and then recording the payment in the accounting software. This save my team time and money.
