Its most important feature is the ability to act immediately on the processes through direct instructions to the end users or by interacting directly with other systems. And since we're talking about identifying patterns in processes, it's even possible to anticipate them and act even before the problem ahead occurs. Just one word on the Celonis people and teams that are always ready to help and make things work the best for us as a customer. It’s been a constant path of mutual learning and contribution to make things happen.
Process Mining isn't "Process Magic", which means there is still some effort and knowledge of the process needed beforehand to instruct the tool on how to "mine" the process for you, mainly if we’re talking about processes that were never explored with Celonis before. There could be a friendlier tool to link the business data to Celonis allowing faster integration and easier data transformation.
We’ve thoroughly analyzed our credit recovery process and we were able to observe some of the inefficiencies we already knew but also to discover new ones. Once we found their root causes, we let Celonis notify the end users to execute the most important activities. By focusing the users on what to do first and when, we were able to reduce the time to recover credit which is crucial to our activity.

A visual side of Celonis may be smoother. However, this is not a typical visualization tool; therefore, there is no real need for it.

Data models need to be fitted properly, we discovered a huge number of process variants and I was expecting that Celonis is also providing a methodology to deal with that issue, but it's up to you how you cluster and organize any further activties. Also you need deep process knowlegde or need to understand the process to make use of the data. Offcourse the price could be better, and any customization needs more expertise of the product.

Celonis is very user friendly tool that enables the user to analyse the process and discover a lot of imperceptible flaws which would be hard to detect other way.
There are some minor improvements that can be worked on like the "back button" during the development on new dashboards but overall I like pretty much everything.
We are analyzing the inefficiencies we already knew that could occur during the process and discovering new ones and ensure we can eliminate or speed up some steps of the process in order to save money and time to the company.
Technical - Easy to learn, Well known SQL oriented design, drag and drop feature. User perspective - Able to drill down to core and find hurdle, nuisances, showstoppers.
Realtime extraction is missing but Celonis team is continuously improving.
Problem solving - 1. Extracting data and building SQL queries in backend to transform SAP data into Celonis dashboard. 2. Designing dashboards, mapping SAP tables, fields and working on custom graphs and formula. Benefit realized - 1. Layout design is easy as its just drag and drop. 2. dashboard and filters are very user friendly. 3.Comparing to SAP, one can write complex formula, KPI very easily with user of SQL and PQL.
Having almost all F&A data , for majority of countries under single Celonis dashboard
Due to huge amount of data sometime Celonis can load/reload for few moments but largely it is due to network performance and inhouse servers capability. Once it is improved Celonis should not be a showstopper of high performance
I am analyzing accuracy of Accounts Payable process in terms of paying invoices on time (or late). It helped very quickly to zero in on key drivers of late payments due to invoices scanned as overdue or invoices with abnormally long clearing time.
To get transparancy very fast and get also the ideas and possibilities for automated solutions.
At the beginning the data load don`t fit very well, but now it works really good and Celonis did a great support job.
We got a really good transparancy about the issues and the possiblities for improvment the business and speed up our processes. We did some easy automations and also some quick analysis, which last at other systems much more time.
The flexibility under the analysis is really incredible. Even though the tool has a lot of differents conection, it's very frectionless. But is import to know what is the best information of your process for you get the best from the Celonis.
The vision of information is a little bit limited. But with the demo of Business View I think it could be better.
