Easy to use, very simple interface— even non-seasoned Photoshop users can use this product!
Honestly, I have nothing to write on here as this software works great for me!
On-the-go quick Photoshop touch-ups... It’s simple and fast and loaded with the basic photo-editting tools you need!
User friendliness, strong interface, great templates.
Limited capacity for in depth work and horrible customer service.
Photography. Batch editing of catalogues.
I like that its available on most customers windows machines when I need to get something done quickly
Being that its not the CC version it has its limitations but its not suppose to be able to do everything
creating graphic and marketing materials
I love the price, first and foremost. It is a great value for what you pay for. It has a lot of the same capabilities as Photoshop (obviously not as in depth) but for me, it does every function I need it to do. It's easy to learn, easy to use, and has a great interface.
When I purchased mine, it said it could be downloaded on 2 computers - but that's not as easy as it seems. For some reason, it didn't work for me and I didn't get the best tech support to fix the issue.
Having a more cost effective option to Photoshop. I have realized that for the work I am doing, I don't need the full Photoshop program and Elements provides what I need.
All the great tools that allows me to edit the photos and renderings
With each version they move the tools around and it can be difficult to find them
Fix issues with renderings that I do.
I like how this software is user friendly and designed for beginners.
I do not like how limiting the software is for long time users of photoshop and the adobe creative suite.
Professional photography work can be completed with this program and learning this program helped me to begin learning photoshop.
With the new Auto Select element, you simply draw a Ellipse around a subject, and the tool immediately recognizes the foreground and the background for a surprisingly accurate selection.
Photoshop Elements does not yet support HEIF ((High Efficiency Image File) format.
Editing photos to go onto custom websites.
I have been using photoshop since 2003. Each new program seems to be the best it can be and I cant imagine its upgrade. Elements though, is by far my favorite. It has new enhanced tools for photo editing and graphic creation. It also has an upgraded interface that is clean and modern. Elements is the first of the photoshop line that has a way to upload to social media directly from the program. While this feature isn't super necessary, it certainly is convenient. Files are organized in internal storage in folders that are separate for different users. The interface is set up in a way that has options for both seasoned photoshop users and novices, so having these separate folders is a great way to keep projects from getting mixed up.
I sound kind of elitist, but I am a little bit disappointed with how accessible photoshop is becoming. I spent a long time learning a lot of the more complex tools and some of them have started to disappear only to be replaced with more automatic features (like the new open/closed eye option). I would have preferred it had the classic tools stayed alongside the new ones, even it it made for a clunky, busy interface.
Elements makes it easy to edit and create images. It is more accessible than previous versions which allow for more novice users to participate in projects that they previously may have not had the training or experience to do.
Photoshop Elements is a great side-along set of tools to use with Lightroom
The explanation of tools could be a little clearer.
I use Photoshop Elements to work on production photos I take for shows I design.
Simple, sleek interface, with everything you need being easily accessible.
On certain low-end phones and low-end computers you may find Elements will slow down exponentially as you make more edits to a project.
I write music, and use Elements to create album art for music. It's a great tool!
It’s helpful tool that fixes and goes in-depth to help amazing photos
Nothing. It is the improved version of a tool that was great and now it’s even easier to use.
Any edits that I couldn’t do on photoshop or light room I can do here
I love the wide variety of tools and techniques that can be implemented by this relatively simple to use program!
Entry cost is a bit too expensive and it defaults to simple editor.
Any and all photo editing needs!
It's a fairly powerful photo editing program, that is excellent for beginning, hobby, and intermediate photographers and photo editors. Especially excellent for those unsure if they need the full Photoshop experience, which I think is powerful enough for most users.
Fairly often (every year or two) upgrades that require purchase of new software. I wish that future upgrades were included since no major changes were made.
Used for advertising photo editing and very basic design elements (although I would recommend other software for design if funds are available.
Simplicity and so many features photoshop offers
I hate that you can only shortcut undo using “command z” once. The only way to go back further is to go up to edit and undo from the menu. Would be nice to just use the shortcut
Quickly and easily editing photos with masks and smart filters to then get to what i like doing best - graphic design
The fact it still had many of the full PhotoShop features included. I was still able to create and edit photos though this was the inexpensive version of Photoshop.
It's fine for the price. You get what you paid for.
I used this program before the full Photoshop application. It allowed me to make wonderful photographic blends for my small web site and it allowed me to retouch family portraits.
Ease of merging photos, scanning and separating multiple photos, the "remove color cast" which Photoshop does not have, adjustable grid lines, the ability to adjust facial features , remove unwanted objects in photos and ability to edit people in group shots.I also like the fact that I only have to pay for the license once - no annual fee and can use without the internet.
I can't seem to identify anything to dislike - especially with the 2018 version. The latest version seems to cover all the routine tasks that I currently need to perform.
Mostly editing photos for marketing materials and websites. Easy to use. Good tutorials. I often have to correct and enhance field photos of architectural exteriors and interiors taken by non professionals. I can merge photos, delete unwanted objects and change backgrounds.
I like the ease of use, and it's popularity.
Sometimes it freezes, and will take a moment to refresh
Data Entry
Create graphic designs with a few clicks that look like a graphic designer created them. There is more packed into this software than the casual user might ever need, but it's available if you do. There are many free tutorials available on the web.
There is a fairly steep learning curve, it's not very intuitive, and very few HELP tools available onboard.
Creating professional looking graphics, signs, ads, handouts and other marketing tools is really possible without too much hassle or expense. The name implies it's used for photos, and it can be...but I use it more for creating and altering graphics, or adjusting size and shape of photos for use in marketing materials rather than "photoshopping" the photograph itself.
The layers mode is easy to use. Plus, a lot of tools to help create designs and images.
Need more toggle features with multiple windows.
Making exterior and interior elevations.
If you have images you want to edit but are not a professional photographer with knowledge of Photoshop, Elements is the best way to start. There are still lots of editing capabilities without going with the full-blown Photoshop.
I don't think I dislike anything. I love how easy to use it is.
We didn't want to pay a contractor to do some basic imaging on product photos. Elements was cheap and easy to get started and figure out how to improve the photos with minor tweaks and adjustments.
