Lightroom is a great tool for people who have to deal with a lot of photos. It's great for managing content and editing photos. I am over our social media channels and I use lightroom daily to edit and manage many of our photo assets and it saves so much time. It's a lot easier to learn than some of the other adobe creative suite, and especially easier than photoshop, which is nice if you don't need to make any substantial changes to the images.
I understand that lightroom is more for editing photos and not the same as photoshop, but sometimes I have to open photoshop to do something really simple that i wish i could do in lightroom, like add a logo or a clone stamp. If you can do it in lightroom then I'm not aware. It would be helpful to be able to add a logo or do very simple things but then it maybe would basically be the same as photoshop.
Lightroom helps me edit pictures in bulk which is helpful because it's extremely tedious to have to edit every single picture, especially when they are so similar. Lightroom also makes it easy to find exactly what I'm looking for without having to look through tons of folders for one picture. Lightroom is a lot easier to learn than photoshop and also it doesnt mess with the original file, which is nice. It's way better to manage pictures than the photos app on a mac or whatever PCs use to organize photos.
I love that I can see the whole album of images in one view as well as copy and paste effects from one photograph to another. It is also very simple to use and very user friendly with all the features I seek. Its very slick and streamlined.
At first I disliked how different it look compared to all other Adobe programs, but love it now.
I am able to quickly edit a large quantity of images in RAW or JPG easily and in one place. I love being able to copy my effects from one to another photo this makes processing thousands of photos super easy.
Being head of social Media marketing it is my job is to create multiple images every single day for marketing purpose. best thing about Lightroom is that it gives you ability to create intensive and detailed work without compromising on the quality of image so every time you get a High quality image whether you are using it on digital social media platforms or printing a big billboard size images. we are using other Adobe products as well and when it comes to photo and video editing Adobe is best in class. Lightroom gives editors flexibility to create images to desired pixel resolution unlike other image editors which comes with pre fixed resolution quality. Lightroom have a range of tools which allow Editors to create Unique images.
Being a complex software biggest draw back of Adobe Lightroom is that it is not user friendly, Very hard to use for Beginner level editors. It is a professional editor so it doesn't come with many pre fixed tools that is why every time creating an image on Lightroom takes great amount of time. To use all the Pro features you have to pay a monthly or yearly subscription fee as well so it is not a good option for people who are looking for Free Photo editors.
Lightroom let you create a multi layer image which helps you to achieve an image beyond your imagination. editors can create new designs and Lightroom helps editors to push their Limits beyond imagination. Lightroom helped us to create our marketing work within our organisation and we dont have to rely on Big Advertising Companies which charges you great amount of money every single time.
Lightroom is great for improving lighting, streamlining pictures, and making pictures look the highest quality possible. I like you can also build books to print or save as PDF files. In the program you can create beautiful slide shows too. The interface and platform help you so easily and efficiently edit your images. From minor adjustments such as contrast and brightness to sharpness modification and the use of innovative instruments. To save time and repetition it is simple to build presets. I can batch the images and convert my RAW images to JPEG files.
With this software there is a significant learning curve but it is well worth it to be able to make beautiful images. With this software, you will make the most professional images. Advance editing features are removed, and software such as Photoshop. Minor editing corrections can be achieved very easily but heavy editing of images is a little difficult.
I have to take RAW images that can't be easily edited or transformed as quickly as with Lightroom. It saves me a lot of time and effort and makes photo editing after photoshoots an exciting pursuit. The most popular issues I've solved in pictures are overexposure or changing color palettes. When I browse through all the resources and options available, it is so easy and successful. This method is great for teaching my students how to generate and edit their own photographs of professional quality.
Familiar Adobe UI, placement of tools, customization of 'plate', configuration of different workspaces, easy image processing workflows, collections
No wifi camera capture, new UI 2020 took some getting used to but is a much-improved UI over previous iterations. No drag and drop upload/import.
Streamlining capture workflow, integration with other Adobe Apps for time and cost savings. Easier preview for clients. Better communication and collaboration with clients.
I just like the simplicity of recording, arranging and looking at raw images. I really like the many types of labels that can be used in your images so that your collection is properly handled. It responds rapidly and is growing, making it economical to use. High-quality, detailed DSLR images in various categories were the main advantages. Planing and navigation are clean and easy to use. The method of editing is very precise.
Uploading images to Lightroom may become easy, but it is still a slow step (it may have something to do with the machine I am using, but it is still too long for new photos to be added into my collection) The programe has crashed many times so far and it has not been pleasant at all.
Lightroom is used primarily for the administration of my photo set , i.e. to ensure all dates are accurate and everything is correctly filed. I can do photographic assessments and typically retake and refine pictures, most of them we use. In different resolutions we use Lightroom to add or remove tags to images.
Multiple-lens and sensors performance. The strong tools for editing, but convenience of using it. Your freedom to backup and add settings quite quickly. That capacity to create several non-destructive versions of the same file! It's a very flexible, video editing software basically. It is far less complex than Photoshop and incorporates the editing tools in an easy-to-use and enjoyable manner to learn as well.
Both systems have their pros and cons. In this situation, I found it impossible to locate a drawback throughout Lightroom, because the software is almost flawless. The only downside I experience is size. This may be really costly for certain individuals and it affects consumers. I think if you have resources to spare it's worth it, but there are other choices if you can't do it.
It is accessible on both smartphone and notebook computers as base. Also be able to modify the raw files seamlessly and in depth. Of such devices, the most noticeable are comparison, light, intensity. This is a really simple GUI that helps you to quickly modify objects from darkness to bright.
It is so easy to import presets, to use to edit photographs, my favorite thing about Lightroom. There are so many web presets and they work with Lightroom. In Lightroom you can also make simple adjustments to the contrast, luminosity, saturation etc. you can also make. You can display your black and white dots in a single click before and after your picture situation and go back and forth at a specific time line editor. Another big thin is that all the main manufacturers are constantly modified and compatible with the camera and lens correction profile.
It is difficult and confusing to handle metadata. The view of the map will be useful for drawing GPS tags but the code is really poor. When certain machine learn algorithms need to be applied to the broad database, other software does so free of charge. I would like to have more photoshop tools included only for editing the photograph in Lightroom.
What my personal and technical images practically have to offer. From storage to finding and displaying my entire archive. The best workflow and tools for editing and exporting images are given to Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. The editing of professional photos with Lightroom presets has cut my photo editing time in half and the photos look incredible. Normally, for a range of images I 'm going to use the same preset, they 're so esthetic.
I use Adobe Lightroom with continued growth with over 7 years. It's also very handy, easy for using, which has many activities, it is fast to react and big pile, so it is cost-effective to use within our agency. With this operating system the greatest benefit was that it could send complex, high-quality DSLR pics in various categories. The floor plan and navigation system is clean and user friendly. The editing process is extremely precise. That implementation I do have something to complain about.
The only thing about Lightroom that is not to like is subscription. When utilizing Lightroom, all your pictures are pretty much stuck in the program forever, so no matter how cheap the fee charges, you want to continue to pay for it or the whole archive they've accumulated becomes worthless in nature.
We do photograph evaluation and commonly used image touching up and enhancement, we mostly use Photoshop while we are looking for alternative editing. The decision to convert from Lightroom to Photoshop is awesome and that would be wonderful if it were even more seamless. We sometimes use Lightroom in various resolutions to add tags to the photos or export them.
I really like how easy it is to load, arrange and look at raw photos. I did not use the editing features extensively yet, but I really enjoy knowing that all my photos are stored efficiently. I used Apple Photos before, and I am 10X more happy with Lightroom. I also really like the multiple types of tags that you can use on your pictures, it allows a good management of your collection.
The loading of the photos in Lightroom is easy, but VERY slow (maybe it has something to do with the computer that I am using, but it is nevertheless very long for me to add new photos to my collection. The program crashed a few times on me so far, and that wasn't fun at all.
I mainly use Lightroom for the management of my photo collection (i.e. making sure that all dates are OK, that everything is archived correctly...). As I said earlier I used iPhotos in the past (now Apple Photos I think), and management of my collection and loading was not as easy. I did not use the editing features yet, but my understanding is that it is very powerful, so I am looking forward to having more time to try it.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is an editing program that is part of the great company of publishing of web videos photos ... ADOBE. As we already know Adobe is the great leader in all those environments that I have already said before. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is one of them. What I like the most is the final result that remains without hardly needing to know much about how to use the application.
All programs have their advantages and disadvantages. In this case, in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, I found it difficult to find a disadvantage since the program is almost perfect. The only disadvantage I find is the price. for some people it can be very expensive and that challenges customers. In my opinion if you have money to spend it is worth it but if you cannot afford it there are other options.
We use Adobe Photoshop Lightroom in our company. This program helps us to have a professional result in our edition of photographs that we have on the page. It helps us save work since it is not difficult to use
What I like most about this program called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic is the quality of the edition it has. As we already know Adobe is one of the leading companies in image editing. So Adobe Lightroom is no different than the others. Another thing I like is that it offers you a number of functions (all useful). Finally what I like about this program is that you hardly need any knowledge to use it.
Like all programs today, they all have their advantages and disadvantages. In this case in the Adobe Photoshop CLassic program one of the disadvantages that I have been able to observe is the price. In general, the Adobe family, which is made up of image editors, web videos ... all have a high price. Adobe Photosop Lightroom seems to me to be highly priced for what it offers. But if you can afford it there is no problem.
With Adobe Photoshop Lightroom we are solving in our company there are several. Thanks to this program we save a lot of time and effort because hardly any kind of knowledge or anything like that is needed. With the program we make the banners and thus we make our image updated and please users.
I have been using Adobe Lightroom for over 7 years with continued success. It is very helpful, easy to use, has many functions, is quick to respond and load, and is cost efficient to use in our agency. The biggest pro with this software is that it can handle large, high quality photos from DSLRs in multiple formats. The layout and dashboard are clean and easy to use. The editing is very precise. I have very little to complain about this application. Be prepared to learn about its functions because there is a lot to learn!
There are very little things to dislike about Adobe Lightroom, but if I can think of one, I wish it is available at no cost. There are plenty of "free" photo editing software online, but do not have the same features and functionalities as Lightroom, but make up for it with ad space. Nonetheless, I have very little to complain. Adobe Lightroom has come a long way from when I first used it and it has evolved into a more simple and easier to use platform that just about anyone can use. With all of its functions, there is also a learning curve.
Adobe Lightroom has allowed us to edit and enhance lots of media that we use for number different platforms (website, social media, print media, ads, digital signs, promotional materials, etc.) It has saved us time and frustration by allowing us to use this tool very effectively and get the job done right the first time.
The amount of control we get over tiny details of images is really great. We can change color, contrast and all sorts of specific settings related to photos. I like that there are many people that use Lightroom, so there is a huge source of user information on the internet to give me tips on how to create certain looks for our photos.
Understanding certain features and how to best use them can be hard without the proper training and experience. For instance, when I used the Curves tool in the beginning, I didn't really know how to set things properly.
I don't have to concern myself so much with getting the right shots when taking photos. Lightroom gives most of my photos the punch that it needs, so I can just take mostly flat image with a high resolution and then work with the RAW images in Lightroom later.
Consistency as an industry standard, and a reputation for strong support and regular feature addtions and refinements, including HDR processing, AI detail rendering and many more. This gives confidence that the latest in features and developments of the industry will be made available to end users. GPU accelaration is a big plus, as well as the wealth of presets and interopability with various devices. This is important in dealing with increasingly larger and complex media. The exporting functions also help integrate seamlessly into workflow for various media. The broad availability of support, tutorials and other materials also allow users to easily leverage on the full potential of Lightroom.
Syncing reliability can be improved further, especially to help with the use of many other devices connected in the same workflow. The optimisation of interface and processing speed is lacking for some tools, particularly on computer systems that are less powerful. This includes new features, such as AI processing which appear to take a long time to process with relatively small improvements. Perhaps more refinements and optimisations in the future will help to alleviate this. Catalogue processing can slow down older systems easily as library size and amount of media processed increases over time. New options for purging and optimising catologue sizes will come in handy.
Lightroom has helped to create a consistent workflow for the handling of event photos. It's interoperability with a variety of cameras and lenses allows the organisation to work with a variety of partners, as well as reach out into new media formats and explore new perspectives. The improving ease of use for functions like presets also speeds up the workflow considerably, which is especially important for time sensitive projects. The flexibility of export options has helped in processing content for social media, posters and a whole lot more. The integration with other Adobe products also makes content generation for media campaigns more seamless, be it videos or images. The reputation of Lightroom as well as it's industry ubiquity has also reduced the learning curve for new users in organisations. The wealth of support within Adobe as well as in external communities is extremely rich, which helps new users get familiar really quickly to produce high quality output.
It has a Full-resolution photo library on the cloud you can also access to the app and your photos from various devices. Autobackup on the web and Autotagging of generic keywords .
Not as feature rich as Lightroom Classic and you cannot rename a photo.
The program is easy to teach to beginners and it quite easy to use.
Create stunning images in seconds with tools ranging from simple presets applicable with a single touch up to the most advanced adjustments and corrections. Take photos in the DNG file format using the in-app camera and share them even faster. Take advantage of all the magic of Photoshop by applying one of the five predefined effects specially designed for shooting. You can preview them, applying them during shooting and adjusting the effect later thanks to complete non-destructive features. * Import, edit and sync raw photos taken with the camera. (paid function).
The Photoshop + Camera RAW combination lacks all the organizational, cataloging and above all research skills that characterize Lightroom. By relying exclusively on Photoshop, in fact, you only have Adobe Bridge available which, as the name implies, is nothing more than a bridge between the folders in which our images and Photoshop are saved: Bridge's archiving and cataloging capabilities are primitive if you compare with those of Lightroom and you completely lack the possibility to carry out cross-searches with multiple parameters in your entire photographic archive. In addition, the workflow in Lightroom is often much more intuitive and simpler than the counterpart in Photoshop. Just think of the creation of a photo book through the Lightroom Book Panel: the procedure is extremely easier and more immediate compared to the cumbersomeness of the same operation in Photoshop, with an absolutely total control of the final result and personalization.
Local adjustments allow you to selectively apply exposure, brightness, clarity and other adjustments to a specific part of the photo (paid feature). Experience the freedom to experiment with edits and restore the original photo at any time with a single touch. Simplify editing and make your photos look consistent by copying your favorite edits to all photos. Share photos as you like: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and much more. Join the community with #lightroom.
It supports basically every RAW format and allows you to make non-destructive edits to pictures. New CC version is easier to back up database than previous version.
New CC version is missing features (like red-eye reduction) that existed in previous version. Adobe also really wants you to use their cloud storage, which I try to avoid.
I have over 10,000 RAW pictures scanned from an old Nikon scanner. It is able to open the proprietary RAW format and let me edit them.
Bulk editing is wonderful. Exporting with a lot many options is of great value. Saved filters makes the life easier.
The tool is costly for the start-ups and freelancers.
Exposure correction, Red-eye removal, photo conversion. Batch processing.
I like how you are able to not only edit photos but can also tag/share images.
I have no dislikes with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
I have not encountered any problems with Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
