Trainual is a great place to keep all your SOPs in one place! I love that you can integrate Loom video recordings and create step by step processes. Easy to assign trainings to the appropriate team members, expecially with a new hire!
I wish you could organize tranings better by category or department. Maybe having an option for category folders, and then drop the pertinent trainings there to keep things together, rather than one big long list.
One central place to keep trainings and videos. Previously we had things saved in different places and now Trainual is the hub!
It slows my team and I to create content easily for our employees and track their progress. We have used it for policy making and quite frankly our whole handbook.
Because I am a little impatient, I'm guessing the thing I disliked was the training before I could get started. BUT essentially it was needed.
All of our back office goals are being met by using trainual.
Trainual allows me to make the team aware of the standard, leaving no confusion on the workflow and steps behind different tasks. As a manager, I value the convenience of not having to repeatedly guide team members through tasks they've already been trained on and I know that they appreciate having a space that they can refer back to for further clarification. I also like that I can update things easily without having to reprint documents and store them in bulky files.
I sometimes find it difficult to categorise items into subjects and steps. I wish there was a way to customise and add additional subcategories. I've also found that making edits to steps can be a bit awkward, and when I export documents, the formatting ends up looking completely different from what I had in the editing mode.
Within our team, we had several members who confidently had very differing views on how a task should be completed. We needed a space where we could have comprehensive and easy-to-understand SOPs so that there would be no confusion.
Managing a team that is responsible for hundreds upon hundreds (maybe even thousands) of tasks and responsibilities can be challenging, but Trainual makes it so simple and easy. The look and feel also makes it easy to look at and fun. This system allows me to ensure my team is on the same page, it improves time to productivity for new hires with documented SOPs, it allows me to send easy updates/changes, and keeps my work life beyond organized. I am forever grateful for this solution! This is a tool that we use on a daily basis and one that has kept my team organized and happier! They are better equipped and supported to do their best work.
There is no downside from my experience. Honestly!
Documented SOPs to ensure my team has the same access to the same information. This increases time to productivity. This helps my staff also feel more confident in the work that they do.
Trainual is great for training new Team Members after hiring! We use Trainual to onboard and train them on the various aspects of our business. It took some work to add all our SOPs to the database, but with that in our rearview mirror, it's been smooth sailing. Trainual is also useful for documenting infrequent processes, such as how to assemble our Christmas decorations each holiday season. Their customer support is pretty solid. I've brought a few requests their way, and they usually have them solved within a couple days. Trainual is an integral part of our business, and we use it daily to document procedures and keep our team fully trained.
Trainual is very helpful, and most bugs we find are quickly resolved. That being said, the mobile app does not support editing of content - it only allows you to view it. It's a fine tool for training, but requires any editing to be done from a desktop environment. Since Trainual is always improving itself, bugs do occur. However, they're typically good about fixing them in a timely manner.
A lot of our training was built upon paper SOPs that were not effectively updated. Different documents were stored in different locations. We relied heavily upon trainers to train new team members, costing lots of labor and lowering productivity. Trainual has significantly reduced the time needed to onboard new Team Members. It also has compiled our knowledge into one database; no more "his way" or "her way," but instead we have the ONE way we do things.
First and foremost the people within the company. They care and it shows in how they carry themselves. As far as the software, robust yet simple. There are so many software tools out there that can be used for employee training and onboarding but they often do a lot of other things besides just that making them clunky or difficult to use. Trainual has a very narrow focus and their goal is to make knowledge transfer a simple and seemless process across companies of all sizes and industries. :)
As this moment the mobile app (Android) could use an update. I know they've been making updates to the online platform so I'm hoping it's in the development pipeline to update the app.

As a manager and head trainer, I don't have to spend as much hands on time with new hires. I've brain dumped everything into Trainual! Very easy to set up. Can do words or videos or both, tests and quizzes, links, etc etc.
Updating it as things change is time consuming but that's not really Trainual's fault.
The biggest thing Trainual solved is the huge amount of time I had to spend training all of our new hires. It has freed up my bandwidth significantly.

Our agency has a cohesive training platform for all new and existing employees. As our processes change, our management team updates Trainual to ensure our team is fully equipped to complete tasks.

It's a great tool. Affordable, easy to use and fun to document and learn processes. Sharing knowledge and experiences is one of the most challenging parts of growing a small business. Trainual allows our leaders to document the right way to do things based on our company values, years of experience and client knowledge. Newer or less experienced teammates can learn from these when onboarding and refer to them as resources at any time.
Once you get a lot of processes in there, it can be a little tough to organize them all. But Trainual does make it easy to move things around. I wish there was also a way to link sections to multiple subjects, so if there is a piece that applies to 5 different processes, it could live in all 5 but be updated/managed once.
We were a small team of 6 experts, but as we more than doubled, it became hard to pass that expertise on to the new team members and ensure consistent work. Plus, we had no onboarding process other than lots of one-on-one training. With Trainual we can efficiently onboard multiple new teammates at once and have been able to ensure more consistent work.
The absolute best thing about Trainual is that it was made by people who clearly have experience in creating and documenting processes and systems. It's intuitive to use, extremely well organized, and their support staff is unmatched. Tons of features you can use and it's already helped my team immensely with no confusion!
The only downside of using Trainual is that the quizzes/tests are a little limited. It would be nice to have question types like matching, but that's just nitpicking at this point :)
Trainual is solving the issue of "how do we teach someone to do what this small team has done for nearly a decade? What information do we tell them first, and how do we make sure all this information is stored in a single, easy to find place?"

Using Trainual feels like the development team already thought of every possible need. I don't find myself wishing they had a different feature.
It has been a little intimidating at first. It isn't easy to get all of your thoughts on "paper".
We are using Trainual to outline who is responsible for what and how to do each and every task. It is a quick pause that will save a lot of time in the future.
Trainual takes a lot of the guesswork out of creating engaging content. The platform is very intuitive for new users. I was able to jump right in and confidently create processes within hours of my initial login. Support both on the platform (templates, help & training documents) and off the platform (meetings with Trainual staff, webinars from the Trainual staff) have all been top-notch. What stands out the most to me is that I have a lot of FUN while creating on this platform. If it is part of your job to create processes and training, hopefully you will find, like I have, that Trainual will make that a whole lot easier for you!
Content prioritization could be improved. Sometimes formatting (colors, font and style) from google docs doesn't always transfer over perfectly.
Trainual is helping us with change management as it relates to updating processes and policies. Many of our processes shift on a routine basis, so being able to verify that a user has completed certain content is so helpful in keeping everyone on the same page. We are also using Trainual to provide more structured onboarding and training for our team.
It's a very user friendly and clean website for your employees. It can take some training and time to learn the backend and create the best practices for your company within the website, but once you do the initial work, it really becomes a great asset for your company!
I think there is an intial buy-in and adjustment period to learn the ins and outs of Trainual. You need to customize Trainual to fit your company and sometimes it's not always intuitive, but once you get a good system down, it's pretty easy to keep it organized and continue for it to be useful for your company moving forward.
More than half of our company is remote. Trainual allows our teams to all be on the same page and get the training they need to work cohesively from all over the world. Our company also sees a lot of collaboration between departments. Trainual allows us to easily train people from other department to help with particular tasks during our busy seasons. It makes people more useful and allows for more collaboration across the board.
Trainual is very user friendly...a 5gh grader could use it! The tutorials provided are amazing and very detailed. I love the additional features like Loom that allow me to record content inside of Trainual.
I wish the e-signature feature was included in the enterprise package
Trainual helps solve our agencies issue with staff not having access to training, as well as provides more flexibility for staff to attend trainings as well. The reporting features also provides management with the support that they need to ensure their staff are adeuqately trained. Trainual's reporting systems also helps place a heightened sense of accountability over ensurgin staff take the assigned training to assist with work performance measures.

The differentiation between Company, Policy, and Process sections isn't intuitive but is easy to work around. The Process section, for example, allows for Collections, whereas the Company and Policy sections don't. We prefer to keep related policies and processes together within one Trainual Subject so having separate areas within Trainual to document them seems odd to us.
We were using a Google Site prior to Trainual as a way of documenting company policies, processes, and procedures. Before that we used a WordPress site where all edits had to flow through one team member. We've found Trainual to be far superior to both options. Trainual allows all of our employees to keep their own content up-to-date and allows our team leaders to oversee those efforts so maintenance of content doesn't fall to one person. Trainual's search feature is great and we love the staff directory and profiles.
It's a one stop platform for company processes and procedures, it an all in one library of resources for our teams and the teams they belong to. Our owner did the research on competitors and highly recommends Trainual
Can't say there is anything that we do not like about the platform, its features and benefits are very useful and important to our teams.

I like the amount of time Trainual saves me from having to go over training materials with staff "manually" or in-person. If an associate has a question, I am able to reference the module in Trainual and get them started on the material without having to disrupt my personal workflow.
Nothing of note, aside from how to get started with making a training modual. I was unsure of how to input my procedures until I learned about templates in the help section of the website.
Trainual solves the issue of having to "reinvent the wheel" every time a new staff member joins the team. I feel that this system ensures that no stone is left unturned.
