It’s so easy to track everything with Pulley. Giving options to your employees, seeing who’s exercised them, repurchases, terminations etc. It always surprises me how much they offer for their price point. Their customer service is also exceptional. I also really appreciate how their Growth Plan includes 409 valuations.
Support can sometimes be slower on the weekends.
Almost any process I need to do that affects or has to do with the equity of my company I can do right in Pulley. Fabulous platform.
Pulley is easy to use in every way, but my favorite feature is the modeling. Pulley modeling allows a founder to actually see the dilutive impact of each SAFE or Convertible Note she or he enters into prior to doing the deal. It is flexible and able to correctly model pre or post-money SAFEs as well as option pools in a matter of seconds. An incredible time and money saver. Pulley is truly an essential tool.
Nothing that I know of so far. Pulley just needs increased adoption to become the standard.
My favorite problem that Pulley solves is to spare the time and energy it takes either the founder or their legal counsel struggling with an excel spreadsheet trying to model what is happening to a Company's cap table with each new SAFE. Pulley accomplishes in seconds what would otherwise take hours.
As a fast-growing company reducing the time required to manage our cap table was an immediate win. The cap table view allows us to show the different types of investors in a single view with quick access to all related documents and agreements. I appreciate the built-in workflow to gain approval from board members and stockholders. A real upside with Pulley is the easy-to-use Fund Raising Modelling to perform "what-if analysis" for different fundraising scenarios without the need for spreadsheets. From a company perspective, Pulley support will jump in at any point to help. For time-critical items, we also like the context-sensitive videos to self-serve.
At this point, we haven't come across any sort coming of Pulley. We look forward to seeing how Pulley takes the solution forward to support and advise smaller companies through all growth phases.
Provide investors with accurate and current cap table, reduce effort and legal costs related to the management of our cap table, modeling future rounds to understand the impact on ownership.
Everything about Pulley is fast and simple - great for busy founders. Onboarding took less than a day. 409A valuation is underway and I expect to hear back in less than five days. Their product provides consumer-grade UX, so it is easy to understand and use.
Nothing I can think about off the top of my head.
I’ve used other platforms as an employee, and wish we had had Pulley. They make it easy for me to manage everything that happens before the equity management stage: calculating dilution during fundraising, giving employees an offer letter, form documents, and more.
We have been using Pulley for our startup after trying other cap table software companies on the market. We think that Pulley is the best software available to manage your cap table on the market that is very user-friendly and easy to use with excellent and prompt customer service and support.
We have no dislikes so far and have been very satisfied with Pulley's software and customer support. They are very prompt at responding to any questions and concerns, and the onboarding process by their support team was very comprehensive and organized. They have the best onboarding and support versus the other cap table software companies.
We have been managing our cap table and equity through Pulley. We find it very easy to manage our cap table and administer equity in an organized manner and have an overview of everything on the Pulley dashboard versus using the traditional spreadsheet method and keep on updating, calculating, and organizing your cap table and equity issuance and administration with physical share certificates.
The onboarding process was pain free as Pulley literally took care of moving our whole system across
it's a little expensive but the onboarding and CS makes up for it
We're able to manage our cap table and add new stakeholders very easily + we can model out our fundraising with confidence
Extremely easy onboarding and 409a valuation.
No current complaints. As a new startup, Pulley offers everything that I've needed to date.
Top priority (and reason fro signing up) was a 409a valuation. Working with Pulley was extremely easy and the process was much faster than what the competition said was possible. Pricing was also better. Next, I used Pulley to issue stock options to employees which was super easy.
Very easy tools to manage cap tables and understand future funding scenarios
No I do not dislike anything about the product
We have been able to manage our cap tables, share with investors and also manage our 409A valuations using Pulley. It's been the biggest value add for us for 409A's.
Very clean UI/UX and amazing customer support.
They don't have all the same features as Carta quite yet but they will be there soon!
Cap table mgmt
The Pulley platform has a great balance of power and ease of use for managing cap tables – perfect for startups. The 409A process was simple and very professionally handled. The customer service is exceptional – they migrated our data from another platform and had us running very quickly. They’ve also been very responsive to questions when we’ve needed help.
There's really nothing we don't like about Pulley.
Using Pulley has greatly simplified cap table reporting for us. Getting information to investors has been easy, and we've been able to model changes to the table based on potential investment or stock option pool scenarios.
Extremely user-friendly, does everything you need it to do, good support
Could do a better job of explaining directly in the interface (or through help files) some of the technical terms to people who aren't already familiar with them (e.g., ISO vs. NSO, Rule 701.
Pulley helps us manage our cap table in a simple, convenient way. It does exactly what it's supposed to do, well!
Ease of use during a high-stress time. They help you set up.
Some of the interface is a little confusing, but better than others I've seen.
Having a managed cap table.
Support is great, the product seems very streamlined, and pricing is fair
Nothing to mention so far - we've been using Pulley for about a year and just used it for our first priced round and subsequent 409A.
We use Pulley to manage our cap table and let our legal team help with this. We've also used Pulley to do a 409a valuation after raising a round of funding.
The team that on boarded us was over-the-top responsive. The platform doesn't require service, but they treated us with white gloves nonetheless.
The platform is still early with lots of room to grow.
We were on Capshare and never fully implemented it due to the odd combination of a limited feature set and excess complexity. Pulley is simple, clean, fast, and nails the fundamentals of cap table management.
Whenever I have a new portfolio company, I trust Pulley to do the onboarding. Fast 409A turnarounds, even faster onboarding, and I know if my companies ever run into trouble that their support team will be very responsive.
It would be nice to have more companies using Pulley- would be easier to see my entire portfolio that way.
I can track my equity and know that my companies can focus on scaling rather than cap table management with Pulley.
The onboarding process was remarkably easy
Our team hasn't had any notable issues at this point, though we are only a few months into using Pulley.
We raised $11M for our company through Reg CF, Reg D, and a convertible note. We needed a cap table management platform that could accommodate these structures and was easy to work with. Pulley checked all the boxes.
The Pulley team was and has been very responsive and timely when exploring and setting the app up. When you get to an item on your checklist, it was such a relief that I did not have to wait days for a reply. The team asked for access to specific documents from my team and set us up right away. I canceled a contract to switch over to Pulley. It's true; people buy from people, and this team is top-notch!
I do not dislike anything; The Pulley team made themselves available to my availability. One request I do have is a Cap Table Resource Center for us first-time founders. This is all very new, and I may not have time to jump on a call during business hours, but I would absolutely like a forum or documents explaining the in's and out's of cap tables.
We are managing our Cap Table. I have a real-time view of my current business. It has been one less thing to take away my time when communicating with our legal team regarding onboarding, off-boarding, or investing.
Very easy for stakeholders to access information about the company and view the cap table according to the company policy. Very intuitive and we were able to get up and running in just a few hours.
I can't say anything bad about Pulley in general.
We are confident that our cap table is being managed correctly to avoid issues with fundraising down the line.
The Easy to use the tool. The team that works with you and the 409a Valuations.
Nothing the tool is fantastic. The team is great.
409A valuation and our company cap table management.
I love the feature for fundraising modeling
You can't delete equity plans, sometimes the fundraising modeling tool doesn't work
We are learning a lot about the underlying mechanics of our cap table and also sharing with prospects investors as part of our data-room
