It's easy to use and integrated into the browser and on mobile. Never search for a password or thing to create a strong password. Also great for storing documents, IDs, credit cards, ...
I personally liked the desktop app better than the Chrome extension-only solution. But I suppose it's more secure this way. Sometimes it's also annoying when it tries to full out forms that are not for filling out.
We implemented dashlane with the whole team. Now we can use and share passwords without thinking about it or loosing and valuable information. It's also the secure way.
Onboarding and Offboarding is extremely simple and intuitive, making it easy to implement. Browser based extensions are easy to manage from both an admin and user perspective, encouraging frequent use and adoption. The feature I like the most though is the sharing function, whether a credential, secure note, or payment method
In the Dark Web Insights, once you've taken steps to change passwords or delete compromised emails, there is no way to remove them from your admin report.
Dashlane simplifies password management, increases complexity of passwords and speeds up workflows, by reducing the time required to find and input passwords manually.
Dashlane helps simplify cyber hygiene by making using unique, complex passwords (and even usernames) a snap. Dashlane Starter for Business is the perfect tool for small teams that need to share credentials and improve their security posture. For $20 a month, the 10 licenses are a huge value to simplify saving and sharing credentials, secure notes, and payment info. The affordable price point makes it a very attractive option for those skeptical about moving to a password manager. The Administration console is straightforward and helped make deploying licenses to employees easy. The additional Dark Web monitoring is very insightful.
I wish Dashlane would simplify the process of downloading a monthly billing statement. The inclusion of Passkey support is great, but the section remains hidden until after a user adds their first Passkey. By not showing it as an option, I can see where some people may not know it's an available feature. It's very difficult to access the credentials of past employees once their licensing has been removed from their accounts. The separation of "work" credentials and notes from personal could be much clearer and stronger.
It is helping my team understand that complex passwords are a requirement of doing business, making it easier to do so and sharing safely when needed. The Dahlane Admin console also is helping me know who is taking the initiative seriously and who is not, by showing me the number of passwords each user has and how many are recycled.
We utilize the shared passwords feature for many of our teams which helped us clean up unsecure spreadsheets and other methods of storing passwords.
Utilizing the SSO feature when starting caused existing personal users of Dashlane that were using their work email to have to move any personal accounts and passwords to another Dashlane account so they wouldn't lose those when they left the company. Since users will no longer have access to the account with their business email when they leave, it was a bit of work and scrambling to move all of the non-work related passwords.
Shared passwords, passwords being stored in unsecure locations, passwords being stored in browsers...which are all helping us be a more secure organization.
Dashlane helped us from day 1 share sensitive credentials across different departments and function roles in the business. Out of the box configuration took no time, and we were able to set up a comprehensive SSO set up with fair encryption in under an hour.
It would be nice if the Secure Notes could be better categorized. Currently they are just in an alphabetical list which can make managing them at scale fairly cumbersome.
Creating a sufficiently complex and random password for our services that do not support SSO or for shared service accounts. It is helping us share .env configurations as well.
Allows great sharing of passwords between colleagues AND separation between work and personal spaces.
Integrating Single sign on is a pain to do
Way better than storing passwords in any other form, especially when they need to be shared.
Easy to use, works well, nice UI, pretty reliable, easy to manage
Can be a little buggy. Not as feature-rich as some competitors
Forgotten passwords/password resets are a thing of the past (for the most part) Dashlane is helping us be more secure by using unique passwords
A clever password wallet with a multi platform compatibility. Dashlane is compatible with the new passkey that will sooner replace a lot of passwords, and in a multiplatform way. A clever pricing tag
Well i'm using it for like 10 years now, the start was somehow complicated with some troubles and issues. But now that it is full on web without the heavy client, it works fine, nothing negative here. It's a clever choice
Handling all the passwords for a healthcare IT team
Dashlane's Password Health score is incredible. It displays the strength of your passwords as a percentage, encouraging you to strengthen them for greater security. The Dark Web monitoring feature is particularly amazing, informing you if any data breaches have compromised your personal information. While Dashlane provides a free account, it is limited to one device, making it better suited for exploring the software than for daily use. Dashlane is a good option if you want an easy and secure solution to manage your passwords.
free account option is limited to use on only one device. This restriction can be frustrating for users who require multi-device access without upgrading to a paid plan. But Dashlane is definitely worth considering nonetheless.
Dashlane's auto password filling tool simplifies the process of securely entering into websites and applications. It eliminates the need to remember or input complex passwords by hand, saving time and lowering the risk of using weak or repeating passwords. It is constantly scanning the Dark Web for hacked email addresses linked to your accounts.
It works seamlessly on all devices I use. Authentication is very smooth and fast. Adding credentials for a new service is done with just a click if the service is supported.
Sometimes the browser plugin does not seem to work. Also not all apps and websites are supported automatically. In these cases I need to cut and paste usernam and password.
I am able to use distinct and complex passwords for the many services I use without the need to remember the passwords or reuse any. This greatly improves my personal security standards.
- Unique, super strong passwords for all online accounts - Securely share passwords with members of the team - Change shared passwords without needing to tell anyone - Dark web monitoring - Secure notes for extra information
- Not being able to set some admin settings to a new default or make them compulsory - Can't remotely log out other team members - Can't downgrade the subscription ad hoc (would be great to add and remove users throughout the year without having to pay for empty seats)
Having unique super strong passwords for everything, without even needing to know what they are. Signing in to everything with 1 master password is so quick and easy.
Dashlane simply works. We use it for our business passwords, 2FA codes, and firm credit cards, shared across our team. It allows us to use complex passwords and is there when we need it. Address and payment information is auto-populated into forms, reducing mistakes and increasing security.
Occasionally a form won't auto-populate as expected, but that's becoming rarer. Credit card information can't be shared between users.
Almost all of our systems are web-based and we have an obligation to keep client data ultra secure. Dashlane lets us use extremely complex passwords and share them among the team. 2FA codes can be generated in the app and auto-populated adding another layer.
The ease of use, easy to onboard coworkers and explain how they can / have to use Dashlane.
For some reason setting up biometrics instead of a master password is not working for me (MacOs 13.2).
Remembering many different passwords.
I like how I haven't heard reports on security breaches throughout the length of my use. That's an A+ in my books. I also find it super easy to access and share with other people. I like how I can configure the password generator to make a variety of lengths and difficulties. It's also been a while since I've had to reset the password in my tools, and that's because I got Dashlane to remember everything for me.
I wish there were a way to easily create shared folders that I can share with a specific team. Let's say I have a folder fool of design tools and I can share them all with our designers.
It solves the problem of forgetting passwords and reduces the friction in sharing passwords with others. I feel like I'm more productive with the tool as I can just focus on more significant tasks and let this tool deal with all things passwords. Payments and forms are even less of a hassle because I can perfectly save payment and personal details of mine and that of other key persons in the organization.
Most helpful - easy to setup & deploy, easy to share passwords securely, scoring can help maintain a higher level of security. Group shares are good for departments, and accounts are fairly easy to manage without hiccups as long as you're paying attention (specifically to the recovery options if you're an admin). The browser extension makes it easily usable for team members, and reduces the friction for them when they need to update or change pw's.
It will not work as fluidly when you tell it you don't want it to autofill on a particular site - it still comes back on. Doesn't sync very well with your phone, so hard to use it on mobile.
Our team had kept passwords in non-secure locations and had not shared with each other because they couldn't do that easily. Accounts & logins were opaque to anyone who wasn't in the know with a particular team.
Super secure and no-nonsense approach to managing passwords
Having to remember and enter master passwords every 14 days is a little troublesome
Dealing with password complexity conforming to various website requirements as well as dark web monitoring.
Dashlanes' investment and abilities across devices stand out daily, whether going from a work device to a personal one or changing operating systems/browsers – it's superb.
Call me outdated in 2023, but I miss their support of a desktop app for Mac/PC after they moved to browser support only.
Keeping passwords secure, unique and in one-place is all I ask from a password vault, and Dashlane is top-notch!
The browser plugin is very good and on most websites it can log you in automatically. The customer support is outstanding.
I'm looking forward to a completly master password-free Dashlane, but this is already in development.
We abandoned storing passwords in browsers on personal devices where it's not secure. It's great that you can distribute some "basic" passwords with one click when a new employee starts. Also, shaing passwords got a lot more easy.
I really like the simplicity of the platform. Pretty easy to use and share logins with others. Extremely helpful with our growing team in making sure that we have a secure method for sharing credentials with each other. Never had any issues or complaints from users.
Wish there was the ability to create folders of logins to share with different teams all at once rather than having to go through each login. We have hundreds of logins saved so it can sometimes be time consuming when we have to share with a new team. The ability to share secure notes that have attachments and the ability to customize the categories would also be nice enhancements.
Making it easier to share credentials, keep track of who has access to the credentials, and maintain them securely.
As an agency, Dashlane has helped us keep our passwords safe across our organization. It is very convenient since it works across devices. And the fact that it includes a VPN helps us stay safe when connected to unsecured networks.
When we first got Dashlane Business, it had a desktop application that would help you get logged into other applications installed locally. This is no longer the case. Since this feature was removed, we now have to open a browser in order to log into these applications.
For the most part, Dashlane works pretty seamlessly in letting us log into online accounts without issue. For a while, there was a time when there were issues with passwords not getting refreshed across devices, but that seems to have been getting better.
