The ability to have access to all password and payment information, securely, across multiple browsers and devices is incredible. Dashlane executes it very well.
There are two areas that I know could be improved. The first is when you have many logins for one site. There does not seem to be a way to easily fuzzy find the proper login, and I cannot tell the sort order. It seems random. The second is how Dashlane handles situations where it is not wanted. Using "pause for this visit" does not seem to work as desired or expected. I wish there was a way to absolutely prevent the input focus dropdown for the rest of that visit.
Sharing credentials in a secure fashion within our teams has been great. My favorite aspect of Dashlane is the ability I now have to access all of our logins across multiple browsers, OS's, and devices, especially on new devices. When signed up to help with our transition from Windows to Linux years ago and have been loving it ever since.
Easy to deploy to our small operation. Sharing works well for common logins. Like the sequencing of the MFA for login - the code is required before a password is requested. Browser extension works well.
The import documentation wasn't ideal, but it was more than serviceable. Not a complaint or dislike, but I have to put something "negative" here. I have no major complaints.
Protection of our company passwords with full encryption of all details, including urls. Sharing of those passwords in a secure, trackable manner. Verifiable compliance of password usage and security.
Felxible, strong encryption, easyness of use, excellent quality code, application syncs perfectly across the ecosystem.
Nothing. everything is PERFECT! The product works as expected. Nop flaws.
Integrating our passwords in a single place for every employee.
It is easy to use. There are plugins for every browser. The password generator is easy to create new passwords. There is a VPN option also with business accounts.
Just sometimes you have to keep an eye on when you copy the password and save it directly. Otherwise you could lose your password, so that is one minor disklike.
safekeeping of my passwords and VPN access. This way I can also share the passwords easily within my team and update them when necessary when people leave the company.
Dashlane has been great for me and my team - with so many logins, credit cards, and teammates, Dashlane keeps us secure. The ability to share passwords with new team members to login to sites we want them to have access to is great, without them having access to the actual password. The password generator is super useful as well.
There isn't much I dislike other than Dashlane can sometimes try to fill areas on pages that are unnecessary.
The peace of mind that all of our passwords are different and super secure. I don't have to remember anything and duplicates are virtually eliminated.
Integration, the app is fully integrated with Chrome & Android for a seemless easy to use experience.
Some dependancy on having your mobile available when adding an account. 2FA addition via the Chrome extension without requiring a mobile to scan QR codes, an ask but I'd image the team at Dashlane are already well on their way with this.
Ease of use, shared account & passwords via Dashlane User Groups really improve the daily workflow of tasks within an Admin role.
Very intuitive product. Very user friendly and it takes very short time to adopt it. Very practical to get passwords
No desktop application to use it. You have to open your browser
security, efficiency, quantity of passwords
Dashlane makes life easier but managing passwords and secure information for myself, my family, and my businesses. Keeping each in their respective fields and who they are shared with. Being accessible from their mobile app, website, or browser plugin makes my stored information readily available with needed.
Dashlane used to offer a desktop application. In my opinion, it made accessing Dashlane easier than opening a web browser, navigating to the browser plugin, and selecting to open the web app, just to get to a full experience on a PC. I miss the desktop app, but I still like Dashlane even though that is no longer available.
Dashlane solves our password-sharing issues. It allows our users to create more complex passwords and sharing those passwords with those that need it is easier. Users creating easy-to-remember or unsecured passwords are no longer an issue.
Our web agency growing over the years, we quickly looked for a solution to manage all the passwords of our clients' websites but also all the access we need on a daily basis. In addition, we use the "secure notes" offered by the Dashlane tool to store all sensitive information about our customers. Best of all is the ability to share each password and note individually to team members. We couldn't do without Dashlane for sure!
We can not see any uneseful abilities. Everything works so great !
Dashlane saves us a lot of time every day
- ease of provisioning users - sharing options (including notes) - recoverability - deep web scans
- sometimes a bit of a delay when syncing between different devices
secure management of passwords and shared systems
It saves a lot of time and is reliable and easy to use.
It doesn't always work the way it should with specific app's or websites
You can save anything in Dashlane, and it's safe and easy; it saves a lot of time.
The personal ownership of each account and the well-thought-out diversion between personal and business profiles within one login makes it a much easier and more convenient tool for storing all my passwords. The autofill feature also works flawlessly and with fewer bugs than other password apps I've used.
Frequently used and recently used passwords could be easier to find and tag in the web app and extension.
We share many office-wide logins across teams and colleagues and Dashlane allows us to do that securely. We can also share access to thrid party vendors without providing passwords.
Dashlane's strong password generator, autofill, secure storage, 2FA, cross-platform support, and password health score make it helpful for simplifying password management and improving security.
Could be nice to have more levels of administration, but that could be a feature of one of the higher tiers. I'd like to be able to have managers able to do somethings that a base user can but not as much as administrators can do.
Dashlane solves the problem of weak and easily hacked passwords, password overload, and lack of secure storage for sensitive information. By generating strong passwords, autofilling logins, securely storing personal data, and providing two-factor authentication, it can improve online security and simplify password management. For businesses, Dashlane can help reduce the risk of data breaches and improve productivity by eliminating the need for employees to remember or write down passwords. It can also help meet compliance requirements for data security and management.
The simple method of sharing to any member of your team. You can specify if they will get full rights or limited rights to the password that was shared to them via app.
Sometimes Dashlane pops up on forms that do not require a password or any data entry, this makes it a bit annoying when it continues to occur and we need to pause the app from popping up.
Dashlane solves the company password sharing safetely and prevents our users avoid saving them on pieces of paper sharing between themselves. It is a huge security tool that I recommend to any teams.
Perfect integration in both the application and on the browser. Fantastic features like MFA code generation, secure notes, search tool, sharing options, creating groups for employees, etc ... Fast support team!
Not Dashlane their fault: but some website so not work with the autofill option. An extra right-click option has been added, but I would like Dashlane to remember where I changed this; so I do not have to do this for every visit. But again: not Dashlane their fault, but actually a crappy web designer.
Single Sign On makes sure none of our employees need to remember another password. The manager keeps track of all passwords (in private!) and recommends changing them when they are not safe, or have been used too many times.
Easy to use across devices and browsers. I feel significantly safer knowing I have complex passwords and can easily review them with Dashlane.
Occasionally, Dashlane will automatically fill in forms that I don't want it to, and it can sometimes be hard to turn off for those websites/sessions.
I have more than 300 username/password combinations for business and personal use. Prior to using Dashlane, I had many reused or similar passwords and had a hard time keeping track of everything. I had lost track of many logins. Since moving myself and my business to Dashlane a few years ago, I don't have to remember any and my passwords are all unique and look something like this: Hk#8m6QaBox5$Ciy. Additionally, the sharing function is very helpful in the workplace and I plan to set this up within my household as well, in case of emergency. There is some initial work of setting things up and replacing poor passwords with complex ones, but as you complete that process you will feel much safer and understand the risks you had previously.
Dashlane impresses with its advanced password management capabilities. The most commendable feature is its ability to share passwords securely between employees, thereby enhancing collaborative work without compromising access or security. This is a significant benefit for business environments where multiple users need access to the same accounts. The division between personal and business passwords is a well-thought-out feature, allowing for a clear separation of different types of data. This separation offers users an excellent way to manage and compartmentalize their passwords. Synchronization across all devices and platforms is virtually seamless, making password management effortless and stress-free. Whether you're on your phone or your desktop computer, Dashlane ensures you have access to your password data. The security alerts provided by Dashlane are invaluable. If an account has been compromised or if a password is discovered on the dark web, Dashlane sends notifications immediately. This proactive approach to security is a huge plus, keeping users informed and helping them stay one step ahead of potential threats. The automatic sign-on feature and automatic input of credit card and banking data significantly reduce the time spent on tedious data entry. These features not only make online shopping smoother but also increase the overall internet navigation efficiency.
Despite its many strengths, Dashlane does have room for improvement. Its integration with Safari is, frankly, somewhat clunky. The experience isn't as smooth as it could be, and it sometimes disrupts the ease of use that is otherwise so prominent in this password manager. The space provided for viewing notes within a password entry is also somewhat lacking. Having more space would make this feature more usable and functional, especially for those who need to jot down important information related to their accounts.
Dashlane has been a lifesaver for me, solving some key problems in my day-to-day digital life. It's now so much easier to manage and share passwords with my colleagues securely, reducing the risk of unauthorized access. The clear separation between my personal and business passwords has helped me stay organized, and the automatic syncing across all my devices means I never have to worry about accessing my passwords, no matter where I am. The added security alerts have given me peace of mind, knowing that I'm always informed about any potential risks to my accounts.
No need to remember logins and passwords. Great safety features
Nothing! All good. I find all of the services it provides are good for me.
Too many passwords and logins to remember, and it creates passwords for me so it is harder to figure out. Makes life easier
Dashlane has proved to be a big help to everyone at our office, providing secure password and payment info storage. We have established shared password lists and individual passwords only available to each individual user. The best part is only having to remember one master password to access the dozens used every day. We used to use LastPass, Dashlane is so much better!
We really have not encountered any downsides to using Dashlane. The main difficulty is with the autofill feature, we just turned that off and the problems have reduced.
It is helping us be a more secure and efficient business by not reusing passwords. Before Dashlane, we used the same passwords on lots of websites because it was so difficult to remember dozens of different ones. Now, we can have a long, complicated password that is different for every website because Dashlane remembers them for us.
