I love the ease of participating in webinars and online teleconferences. Its a novel way to connect with colleagues across the nation in real-time without having to travel to a central location to meet...great way to save on travel costs!
It would be nice to see the meeting room while sharing the screen without a dual monitor. The product prices could also be less pricey.
Cutting down on meetings and conferences helps to boost cost savings (avoid high cost of travel) so funds can be allocated elsewhere.
The more robust options for host and participants to engage and collaborate. Web conferencing has taken off in the last couple of months, and most simply offer screen sharing. There are many more features to Adobe Connect. Another problem others faced was security problems, particularly Zoom , which really benefitted from the current environment. Adobe has gone to additional lengths to improve security.
Cost. Where some platforms charge $10-20 per month, Adobe charges at minimum $50/month. This does come with the enhanced features already described, but there is a price tag to them.
It is nice to be able to edit videos, in addition to recording them. It is also nice that you can create custom layouts the personalize the experience.
Fairly robust features once you learn how to use them. I particularly like having the ability to edit my recordings. I saw the word "practical" used to describe this product and I'd agree. We have used it at my organization for monthly webinars for the last few years.
The user experience does not feel polished or modern, it feels technical. The admin side could be significantly more intuitive. It is a pain (and more $) to have to use another service to integrate the telephone/conference call feature for those without computer audio or on the road.
We are a membership organization, and the ability to offer monthly webinars at a reasonable cost is very important. AdobeConnect, along with a third party conference call service, has allowed us to do this for the last several years.
Adobe connect has enabled creation of information, online training materials, web conferencing, general presentations and also fully host online meetings. It has capabilities to host, share collaborate and train from anywhere, anytime. It works in any modern browser. Allows the use of third-party add-ins such as a timer, or user poll. Pretty easy to set up. Convenient method for contacting participants. Provide templates for sending out notifications.
For some add-ins the functionality was limited - had problem with the PowerPoint slideshow feature. It did not always display properly as you progressed in slides. The price points were not very flexible. I had limited needs and I was paying a higher price tag than I should for what I needed. They should be more flexible with pricing based on features needed. difficulties in downloading recordings.
Adobe Connect allows invitees to easily attend your meetings from the desktop without requiring a client download, and offers complete mobile-to-mobile collaboration.Adobe Connect powers complete web conferencing solutions for webinar, online meeting, mobile elearning, video conferencing and virtual classroom use.
Adobe Connect has a lot of wonderful pros. You can use it across multiple platforms. Whether you are on their or in the office there is an option for having a meeting. It is also reasonably priced. You can have up to 99 other users which is great for the price.
There are a lot of options out there for this price. Also it is hard to use at the beginning and the training time is a lot longer than most other web conference tools.
Adobe Connect is a great solution to meetings. Before you had to call in or miss a meeting if you were unable to attend in person. With Adobe Connect you are able to use any platform that you have available.
I really like the ease of use when creating and editing layouts, and I feel that the opportunity to quickly use a webcam just adds so much personalization to the presentation. For my projects, the ability to move people seamlessly in and out of the breakout rooms is such a plus. This is such an important feature and really adds so much value to the true collaborative nature of the product.
We sometimes have audio issues, but feel that this is due to the audio provider and can be attributed to their audio bridges and not the Adobe software.
Virtual classroom training and collaboration, delivering important training programs to our customers in the virtual environment while keeping the interactive integrity of the program is huge for us.
From my perspective as a technical course developer, it is my hope was to use a software product that is intuitive, powerful and seamless for my eLearning courses. Adobe Connect delivered on all three. The Adobe Connect Library directory structure and file sharing options felt very familiar and were easy to navigate and deleting files/changing file names if I goofed up was a breeze. Being able to easily upload my PowerPoint/Presenter converted lessons saved me time and allowed me to share my work with other developers and instructors for review and testing simply by emailing the course link.
There is an issue where some of the links provided within our meeting template would disappear after I added in my own course links.
Making our training options as flexible as possible, especially for those trying to limit travel expenses. Offering an eLearning experience that offers the feel of a classroom setting but in a virtual environment.
Its flexibility, the ability to set up persistent rooms so events can be planned in advance and returned to, integration with other Adobe products, API, extensibility, support and cost effectiveness.
It was originally Breeze, a Flash product. This means it has legacy issues and Adobe has been busy with porting to HTML. There have been some significant ones, but Adobe has been fixing them. I have had some hair-pulling moments in the last year, but things have improved and the senior support team listen and respond. The mobile apps are dated and do not fully support the desktop app's features, but these are are scheduled for an update this quarter I am assured, and much needed as more people use mobile devices. The conversion of PowerPoint presentations is not always without incident, usually requiring some attention to the original files. You can always screen share as in other products, but there is no facility to share system audio when doing this. There are workarounds, but that is a nuisance. It could do with better webcam quality in Grid mode, and I wish the feedback emoji options were more obvious. These are not big issues for our purposes.
We use it for online training (CPD). It is a sophisticated product, but requires time and skill to make full use of it (as you would expect). We have integrated it with our LMS.
