Time Doctor Pricing Overview

Time Doctor provides an effective and cost-efficient choice for time tracking a project management. I use this product with all of my client projects and I love that I can provide them with their own login credentials which give them access to their file and related screenshots.

The only shortcomings with Time Doctor are not offering an annual subscription discount for solo users and having somewhat weak and slow customer service replies.

Time Doctor has helped me solve my need for a time tracker with screenshot capabilities. The vast report options have made it easier for me to complete invoicing and keep my clients up-to-date.

I initially started using the Timedoctor service because of the timekeeping and screen monitoring features. It is really useful for tracking employee hours or to help a manager understand why projects may not be getting completed. Being able to track employees has saved money. My experience with some remote contractors is that they don't want to request assistance. Sometimes they get frustrated then leave the job rather than ask for help. Being able to see over their shoulder when projects are not being completed allows the manager to understand if the contractor needs help or is not putting in the required effort to complete the task. The ability to select the frequency for how often screen shots are recorded is a nice feature. If the delay is too long, the manager may not really have a clear picture of what is being done. For example it may take screenshots of social media at the times when they are logging in. This might make it look like they are not working on assigned tasks. Increasing the frequency of the screenshots will provide a better idea of what was being done. There is a mouse and keyboard activity monitor. Along with a pop up notification that asks if the individual is still working. When there is no activity in the mouse/keyboard, the timer appears. The on screen timer and project manager also helps keep me honest with how much work I am completing as well. Timedoctor scales well for growing teams. It is easy to add or remove people from the system. There is a project and task manager. This can be used for project processes or daily tasks. When a new project comes in, individual team members can be assigned and their tasks are automatically created. I have had rare situations where people attempt to outsmart the system. It is easy to tell when this occurs. The application works well and does what it should do. In the rare situation where support was needed, they are quick to respond. The interface is clean and fairly easy to navigate. For casual users, they may occasionally get lose in the interface.

It's a great product. Support is awesome. The premium service comes with a price. There are less expensive options, the cost adds up when managing larger teams. Timedoctor provides Screen Monitoring. There is the ability to turn off the screen monitoring but sometimes a team member will forget that it is on. Then they may access private accounts. This sometimes takes a screenshot of their private information such as account passwords. Sometimes a team member may take a scheduled break but then forget to turn off the screen monitor. The individual may start doing something they are not supposed to be doing, and it is then recorded. This might be ok if they are using company computers, but usually these are their own pesonal computers. Some contractors do not like the monitoring because they feel it is an invasion of privacy. While this has been an issue, most contractors do not have a problem with it. There have been cases where a contractor chooses not to be employed due to the screen monitoring but generally this has not been an issue due to large numbers of applicants. There is also an option to turn on or off the screen monitoring individually for each employees. Some of the integrations with 3rd party apps are limited in their use. Sometimes there have been problems with the desktop applications not syncing with the time server. Sometimes internet connectivity is unavailable or something else. When this happens contractors usually worry that their time is not being recorded. The desktop app is suppose to record the time, then update the server when the server comes back online. I often have to explain how this works. I will tell them to also manually track their hours. Less than ideal but it works. Navigation of user screenshots can be time consuming if there are many screenshots to review.

I often hire remote contractors. Problem solved has been timekeeping and an easy way to bulk pay the team. Have also identified when people are having problems, require additional training, or are riding the clock. The bulk pay has been a time saver. I also like the ability to assign roles. This creates the opportunity to contract HR members while still being able to oversee the team as needed. Timedoctor has been great for new hires during a probation period. It makes it easier to identify their strengths and possible areas for improvement. My response would be to offer help in those areas while being able to do so without having to revolve around mistakes.

I need to track hours I spend on projects for clients. Super simple interface and the desktop app reminds me if I start working and I'm not in a task. That's actually HUGE for me. I'm doing so many things, without the reminder that I am working/need to report my working (by popping up if I'm not on a project), I wouldn't remember. I've been there before with other projects. I recently hired someone who will be working remotely. I appreciate knowing how time is spent if I am paying hourly.

I'm having a hard time with anything I dislike. The only thing I can think of is that when I go onto Facebook or YouTube, etc. (as part of a job), the application asks "are you still working on..." LOL! Everyone's judging me!!! I feel judged! I'm creating a Facebook ad--that's work!!! Seriously, I would like to be able to select all projects and they view the total # of hours at the top. Right now, I have to 'print' it to see the total number of hours on the selected projects (otherwise the screen lists the Projects and then tasks with a total for the individual project). It's an annoying extra step.

I signed up for it with an immediate goal. You see, I work for one client on flat monthly rate for a number of years. We renegotiate every year based on new responsibilities he gives me, etc. So, even though I'm a flat monthly fee, I had a feeling that I was working way more hours than was worth my pay, so I started to track the hours with detailed descriptions and was shocked over a 3 month period how many hours I actually worked. I had tried doing this in the past with other applications, but I couldn't keep up with them, they required me to 'start the clock' and I would forget to turn it on. When he saw my report, he was floored. It helped me negotiate better pay and it helped him understand where he was potentially wasting time--and my time-- and what took a lot of time with a low rate of return for him. But after that, I never turned back. I use TimeDoctor all the time. And another benefit is, with other clients, I never get any "what were you doing that took X hours?" I include the project report with detailed line items along with an invoice. No questions. I think they like the accounting for time. So the overall benefit was realizing where I spent my time and realized that hiring someone I could actually make more money. I have her on the program as well.

Time Doctor has been great for our team but personally, I love the reminders to stay on task if I accidentally fall down a social media rabbit hole!

Unfortunately, Time Doctor doesn't integrate with Quickbook Online.

Time Doctor provides a full breakdown of all time on all projects and has allowed us to evaluate what each person is spending their time on. This has enabled us to ensure workloads are more balanced and make decisions based on an accurate cost-analysis when deciding whether to outsource certain tasks.

Time Doctor has a straightforward user interface with simple functionality. I like that it provides regular notifications and reminders with thorough tracking tools and reporting features. Users have control over starting and stopping the timer so that Time Doctor can track work time accurately. The screenshots are a fantastic feature that allows us to see workers' actual screens at set intervals. I like that variety of data we receive which can allow us to analyze work flow and time spent on particular tasks. It's also great that Time Doctor can be integrated with many third-party applications.

Some workers have reported that Time Doctor occasionally slows down their computer. Also, the mobile features and functionality aren't as smooth and complete as the desktop version. The customer support team at Time Doctor is generally good, but can sometimes be hard to get a hold of and don't always have the solutions we're looking for. The on-screen notifications and reminders can be a bit overwhelming at times. I would rather have fixed fee pricing rather than per user pricing.

We have used Time Doctor to effectively track the work activities of our employees and to analyze the efficiency of their work time. The data we obtain from Time Doctor reports helps us to improve work flow and streamlines the payroll reporting process. We are more accountable when it comes to billing clients, which most of our clients greatly appreciate. With Time Doctor, we have improved our overall project completion times.

We loved the fact screenshots were available to track our employees and make sure they were going the right thing and being productive. A great thing to have compared with other software (at no extra cost)

Unfortunately we couldn't find a cheaper option. I think TimeDoctor is great for smalls teams as the price is significant if you have more than 10 or more employees.

Nowadays, work has changed forever. We respect our employee's privacy, so for people working for us for a long time, we disable screenshot taking. With this, our productivity has been significantly higher in new team members joining our team.

We had a very good experience of using Time doctor. It has helped us in managing the working of our team and has significantly increased the output of theirs. I am very thankful to Mr Ram, he is very polite and down to earth person and has always been there with us whenever we needed any support. I would recommend the tike doctor to all companies specifically the companies offering work from home.

Its a little costlier as compared to other similar softwares. I guess the price should be a bit competitive.
