Knack is a no-code development platform that lets businesses build simple web apps and online databases. The platform lets users import data from spreadsheets or define it from scratch. From there, users can build interfaces to display and manage that data using elements like forms, tables, and searches. Apps can be easily embedded into any website and then further styled or manipulated via jQuery.

Ability to create items and necessary fields for inventory.
Can be clunky. Takes some getting used to.
Technology inventory for staff use.
Knack is one of the best no-code DB out in the market. The UI is intuitive and I find coding very boring sometimes, Knack came to the rescue. You can customize the UI as per your specifications without involving your boring IT team.
Not a lot of options to reach the customer support over chat or call. Just email. Hit send and wait for few hours till they respond.
Coming from a non-DBA background, I use Knack for my work and test out some DB integrations. Knack's super-clean and super-intuitive UI always helped me maneuver through my work.
Creativity! Has a lot of potential for expression. Simple to update and add new features.
Not visually appealing. Difficult to make it attractive to the eye.
Accessibility, organization, and provision of our product. Good way to compile data/information. Important to be comprehensive in its application.
Flexibility with API to do almost anything.
Unusably slow about two days every quarter; in the morning, the app is unusable, but its 24-hour support, so employees spend the entire business day down.
Created medium complexity app to process financial transactions where workers spend 50% of their time.
It was easy to create forms, but it did not work overall.
Pulling reports was nearly impossible. It was difficult to configure for multiple users. The salesperson before we created a paid account with Knack misled us about what was possible with the program.
We left Knack in May of 2021 because it was not a good fit for us.
Quick to build on with a very good no-code UI.
Terrible reliability and support. Regular system failures (API 504 timeouts) which are invariably attributed to "other apps" on the same server taking up all server resources. This has been going on for years. In every case, we detect failure before Knack does, and it takes hours or even days to resolve. The only solution they offer is to spend ~10x more on a "private server" so we won't suffer from the fundamental flaws in their multi-tenant architecture. STAY AWAY.
We wanted to get to market quickly, which we did. But now we have a dependency on a fundamentally unreliable component.
Customization, The idea of things sound good but the implementation is quite difficult.
Difficult to use. customer support is crazy slow. The program is expensive and doesn't make much sense.
We are trying to organize a sports league and it's good for allowing people to see teams and coaches but there are several issues with the payment system linking.
