"Bad Experience"
What do you like best about Keap?

usually don’t leave negative reviews, as being a business owner myself, I am well aware that mistakes can happen. Though our experience with Keap went beyond an accidental mistake and after debating for a long time, I feel sharing my experience is absolutely necessary.

What do you dislike about Keap?

I usually don’t leave negative reviews, as being a business owner myself, I am well aware that mistakes can happen. Though our experience with Keap went beyond an accidental mistake and after debating for a long time, I feel sharing my experience is absolutely necessary. Long story short: - We first spoke with a guy named Colin who was in charge of closing the sale. He seemed a very nice and friendly guy, though sometimes he sounded slightly generic about what our migration from our current autoresponder to Keap would entail. - He was so nice we even bought an extra $500 of Keap coaching calls (shame on us for not waiting). - He reassured us that our packed came with 15 hours of migration included and that everything we had on our current autoresponder, would be easily migrated within those 15 hours. Just to be sure, I repeatedly asked him confirmation (both on the call and in written form) that all our sequences, automations, contacts, templates etc could be migrated within those 15 hours. I am NOT a specialist person so clearly I trusted what he said. We submitted everything that we needed to migrate and were confident we were all on the same page. - A few weeks later, out of the blue, Keap asked us to pay more money, as the 15 hours were done and over with. - At this point we still had quite a few assets to migrate. They claimed they had already went beyond the 15 hours and while some extra hours had been ‘’gifted’’ now we had to pay extra or take care of the migration internally (which clearly we were not equipped to handle considering it wasn’t part pf the plan). - Even though I was already quite annoyed (considering the guy confirmed already multiple times that in 15 hours they could do everything) I reluctantly asked how much would that extra be. The answer was mind boggling: don’t even wanna share the final priced we would have to pay as it was just ridiculous (thousands and thousands of dollars). - At this point Colin had started to ignore our emails. I called him several times and was told that our team was trying to take advantage of Keap migration team. Wait what?!? I kept my cool and asked to please meet in the middle (even tho this whole situation was entirely created by them) and he seemed confident we’d find a solution. After a few days of back and forth, and the Keap renewal approaching, we had no choice but to stop everything and close our account. - We requested a partial refund (since they had done some work anyway and I wanted to acknowledge that) so I was referred to this lady called Lisa, who was supposed to ‘’help’’ with this. After speaking to her, instead of being issued a refund, we were charged £200 termination fee — like seriously?!? - After complaining about that (since it was not written anywhere btw), we got refunded these £200 and that was the end of it. - So we spent (wasted) 1200 - then got charged an extra £200 early termination fee and then refunded just that fee. - At this point I was so annoyed but I was also determined to move on as quickly as possible. So I simply requested at least refund of the $500 ‘’Keap coaching calls’’ that we never even started (we were supposed to use them after migration was over). - Our request was ignored and never addressed. Again, I don’t leave this review light hearted, but this experience was really BAD. We wasted money and precious time (including the 30 mins spent to write this review). Pls be very careful before you sign up with Keap, especially if the assets you got to migrate are quite articulated. Don’t just talk to the the sales person, whoever they are, and request to speak to the tech team and have a further confirmation on the migration costs (the REAL ones). Not sure that will be enough to spare you a similar saga, but one thing is for sure: we are migrating elsewhere.

"If you are a SME, Infusionsoft is not for you."
What do you like best about Keap?

The Sales Person follow up with you to close the deal.

What do you dislike about Keap?

Infusionsoft pays $500 referral fees to affiliates. Sales person misleading and false promises at sales stage. They will drag on and not let you cancel the subscription.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

This product is not suitable for our business. And we encounter lots of issues cancelling the subscription. Infusionsoft charges $2000 start up cost +$299 per month of service fee. Evan Samurin (the Sales) says if it is not for our company, they will do something to credit the upfront $2000 back to us. After we used it for a month our A/P emailed Evan saying infusionsoft is not for us, Evan says that he will forward the message to customer service. I haven't heard from infusionsoft again, We have followed up with Evan with no reply. Our company credit card is billed month after month, which forced our company to call the credit card and cancel the card. Then someone from Infusionsoft customer service, Blake Ghormley emailed us saying we have unpaid balance. We asked Blake to communicate with Evan and credit us back for the months that I didn't use. Blake Ghormley disappeared again. The problem of this product is, Infusionsoft pays $500 referral fee to the person introduce to them. So a lot of contractors will say that infusionsoft is good. But those contractor may only know how to use 5% of the product, which is similar to other lower cost competitors which pays less referral fees. And when you want to cancel, our experience is - they will skip your emails. I personally would not recommend any company to use their service. - Most companies would not need such a BIG solution. If you are big enough, you may consider SAP. - Their $500 referral fee, and false sales promises is not someone would look for. - Don't worry about cancelling with them, they skip these emails.

"Good value for money but sometimes complicated to use"
What do you like best about Keap?

The dashboard is great as you can add your own saved searches and reports. I also like the fact we can add customised fields and tags. We use the landing pages a lot and the sequences which are quite sophisticated. The email campaigns are reasonably priced too. The software is quite easy to use for the sales side. The sequences and landing pages are more complex to use. There are many integration features too.

What do you dislike about Keap?

We have set up customised fields with lists of values, but we cannot correct any values in the list or re-order them. It doesn't feel like there are relational tables driving this data behind the scenes. We also can't group things in reports so we end up setting up lots of different reports to get a different mix of information. For example we'd like group totals and subgroup totals on the value of opportunities. Doesn't handle UK VAT very well so we leave it off quotes which isn't ideal.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

We can keep track of sales opportunities very easily and each sales person knows who they should be phoning. We make full use of the automated sequences to trigger a sequence of emails when a lead starts a product trial. This saves the sales person having to remember to send timely emails, they can concentrate on making the sales call at the right time. On the marketing side we also use scheduled email sequences to send email broadcasts to our database which we can segment with tags.

"Infusionsoft is still Confusionsoft and will drain your budget"
What do you like best about Keap?

Nothing. InfusionSoft does allegedly provide a number of features, none of which seemed to work correctly.

What do you dislike about Keap?

InfusionSoft is a huge money drain beside the high monthly fee, the "kickstart" upfront fee is outrageous for the benefit received. You are forced to have your training sessions within 30 days whether you are ready or not. Having to use them immediately keeps you from having a chance to really get into the software and figure out what you need help with. My consultant gave me two campaigns that had nothing to do with my business. The e-commerce never worked right and neither did my campaigns. The tech support team was supposed to look into my campaign issue and never did. Full of bugs and incredibly complex - a complete waste of money and time. InfusionSoft also steers you towards highly priced partners such as PowerPay that provide zero value and poor service when you can use PayPal for a fraction of the cost and get great support.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

The business issues that I was hoping to solve with InfusionSoft were having an integrated CRM, mail automation service and e-commerce provider.

"You can create a Google Sheet and use free software to do the equivalent of this expensive software."
What do you like best about Keap?

The scheduling app and extra phone number are the most helpful tools of this software for me personally. I think the functionality is smooth and easy to learn. You can keep track of tasks and clients in a clear and concise way with labels. The automatic payments that you can integrate with PayPal are helpful too.

What do you dislike about Keap?

The software is missing a lot of necessary customization and features to make it worth the price tag and ditching other business software. For instance, with the invoicing - it is irritating that invoices can't be customized to 1) look different than the generic layout provided and 2) writing the line items for the invoice is frustrating. As a designer for both graphic and web design, I like to write out descriptions of my hours, and there isn't a memo section on the item lines. It automatically sends invoice emails sometimes without any indication, which can come off as rude to clients without a follow-up email. I also can't even use the feature that tracks my Google reviews because, for whatever reason, my business doesn't show up in their search results. I can tell that in the future, this will be a great tool for me, especially because they are so coherent to feedback. However, right now, it feels a bit underdeveloped. And most importantly - you will pay the price if you want to get out of this software. Don't be tricked into a year contract like I was. The "credits" they offered me that covered a month or so when I wanted to quit, later showed up in my mailbox from a debt collector. Super irritated with my entire experience with them.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

None anymore. Use Zelle and Checks people - even though these payment links are convenient, fees and the format of them are not worth it.

"Infusionsoft is a gamechanger!"
What do you like best about Keap?

The tagging and reporting, the campaigns and the fact that you can buy campaign templates is amazing! Wish I found it sooner. Saves me time and money between various systems and helps me to better manage my clients and my audience on my list.

What do you dislike about Keap?

Although I would like to say the price is a bit expensive it would cost me the same or more if I had to have all of the services separated from different providers so even though it feels like a lot it really isn't it. It's just combined into one.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

better management of audience, affiliate program for my affiliates, save me money with merchant fees and the list goes on.

"Great CRM/ Sales/ Marketing Software that Addresses Most of My Pain Points + Makes My Life Easier"
What do you like best about Keap?

It has a built-in appointment scheduler. **I select open days and time blocks and clients book meeting slots that work for both of us. No more back and forth emails! I can send appointment scheduling links via emails from my desktop, laptop, phone, or put a scheduling link on my website. My contacts are organized on an intuitive dashboard. **I can see (for each contact): status (prospect, client, or other), appointments, invoices, emails, tasks, and notes. If you have more than one person on your business team, everyone can see a complete picture of each contact. I can also carry out any of these tasks from this dashboard which I love. Contacts can be uploaded individually, in mass, or by scanning business cards (via mobile app). Keap provides you with a free second phone number to use as a business line (so I don't have to share my personal cell number with clients)! **And you can send unlimited texts to clients and track all communications and tasks on Keap's mobile app. **I love that you can also create frequently used email templates to easily send as SMS or email messages and you can send appointment links for lightning fast response to prospective or current clients after calls. The mobile app lets me run my business from my phone. My revenues are increasing using Keap because I am converting more prospects to clients! **Keap keeps me organized so no one slips through the cracks. This has resulted in converting more prospects to clients. Keap makes me look more professional. **I have received many compliments from clients when I switched to Keap. They love the ease of scheduling appointments, paying invoices, and getting quick responses for automated processes. You can build campaigns to automate follow up emails. **For example, I have developed a campaign that automatically sends a response email to a prospective client when they fill out my webform (which takes them to my appointment scheduling link). The system also adds a task to my list so I remember to review their webform in advance of our call. This function is huge in streamlining repetitive administrative emails and has automated my initial client pipeline saving me time. I can run reports to evaluate my business. **It is powerful to be able to use that data to increase my prospect to client conversion rate and my overall sales. The price was right! **As a small business, I love that I can pay my fees on a monthly (instead of annual) basis. There is a one-time coaching/ system set up fee to help you set up your system--but they were willing to work with me on this too. Keap's willingness to work with small business owners was a big selling point for me. Other software systems were not willing to budge. Customer service is responsive and top notch. **I have multiple ways to get help if I need it: calling tech support, chatting online, or calling my Customer Service Manager. I also had an expert coach assist me with some of the more technical aspects of the set up.

What do you dislike about Keap?

There are a few technical issues I've had with Keap: 1) For example, when people pay via credit card, the system masks the name of the payer so it's not as easy to tell who has paid me and I have to do a little more sleuth work to confirm. 2) It takes some getting used to setting up a campaign to automate my emails and processes, but I am a newbie at this, and I bet this is true for all CRMs. I just learned that Keap is launching a new easy automation builder which should help a ton. 3) The pricing may be a bit high for some small businesses at $149/ month but it has been worth it since I am converting more clients with this CRM--so for me, the system ends up easily paying for itself.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

1) Saving time by automating my sales pipeline (ex: I can set up automatic emails to follow up with potential clients that haven't responded to a sent quote). 2) More organized system of sending out marketing emails. 3) Easy to see all client data in one place (invoices, emails, payments, etc.) 4) I am converting more clients.

"Good value, amazing functionality"
What do you like best about Keap?

Easy to use once it is setup and has tons of functionality for the cost. The feature set is comparable to systems that come at a much higher price and is everything that a small business needs to get started with an integrated marketing platform. The cost model is also superior since it is allows for generous use without breaking the bank.

What do you dislike about Keap?

Can be a bit hard to wrap your head around, espeically since there are some many features and all are not self evident. It is advisable to have a consulting company assist with setup, which unfortunately adds cost to the implementation.

What problems is Keap solving and how is that benefiting you?

Inbound marketing and CRM and Improved customer tracking and lifecycle marketing which we were unable to accomplish with our old system.
