Hunter is fairly easy to use. I've tried it numerous times, including once with a paid endeavor. However, I wasn't convinced of the value. Like many similar apps, there sometimes isn't accurate enough information provided. Grain of salt, because I'd still try it to be sure.
I'm not a fan of paying a flat fee to receive mediocre results, or inconclusive results, which was my experience. Instead, I opted for a "lifetime" app (competitor) that uses credits for lookups and it suits my needs much better.
The inherent problem is one where anonymity clashes with accuracy. Dime a dozen, in terms of how well these apps work. I'm sure someone else feels differently than I do, too.
I've been using Hunter for 7+ years and I've always found it to be a valuable tool for finding and verifying email addresses (one off or bulk). The UI is clean and easy to use and the API is convenient for improving larger scale workflows.
While I've found that Hunter is usually accurate, there are times when it has verified emails that end up bouncing back, or cannot find emails when other tools can. No email finding or verification tool is perfect, but Hunter has been one of the better ones in my experience over the years.
Hunter allows us to find and verify one off emails, as well as find and verify emails in bulk via API.
I love that Hunter.io built out a platform that scours for emails across the internet, they show you exactly where they pulled the email from and provide a source for the email. They have a well-built database that allows us to pull out specific emails from companies and advertise to.
There is nothing to dislike about this platform expect they count each search towards your monthy quota, you're not able to waste your searches without costing money.
With Hunter.io we're able to build our specific list to make custom advertising campaigns to market to a specific company. We have seen that Hunter provides us with an accurate database as they include sources on their emails, allowing our team to filter out each email to determine whether the email is legitimate or not. We found this as an efficient way to reach out to high-valued prospects and have gotten many of our big named clients through this database!
Great Product for the Price. Great Customer Service, difficult to beat. When I needed to contact them, they responded quickly and went above and beyond with their support. I've been a Recruiting Consultant for years and have trained lots of Recruiters. This is a tool that I always recommend!!
There were very rare occasions where I was unable to find the email's that I was looking for, less than 2% of the time.
It is my first and go to resource when I need to find and verify email addresses.
It's a clean interface. There's not much to the product, so it's easy to use.
It's a kludgy bunch of products poorly bundled together. The email search rarely works, the email sender feels bolted on to justify the high price and the bulk operations and the verifier should be status quo. It should return verified emails (most sevices do or credit you for bad emails).
Finding leads for sales outreach.
Hunter is a no brainder use tool for finding and veryfying business email addresses online. It consistently works better than other alternatives that even ask for a monthly fee. Their free version provides plenty of value.
They could improve the verification process with more advanced capabilities as many times email addresses got up aren't correct, though still one of the best around statistically.
Finding the right emails when prospecting online and working on lead generation. I also use the tool to verify emails that I found either via hunter or alternatives.
Features like domain search in bulk. Unique and useful.
Their price is a little bit too high. I have been using it for three years now, though. A lot of the OK emails bounces sometimes, that's not right.
I am finding emails of my potential customers (leads). That's a huge part of what I do always, so, hunter is solving an important problem for me, saving me a lot of time.
Hunter.io was something I used daily in the past when trying to find emails through LinkedIn. As times have changed I still find value in Hunter.io when searching through a prospects website but just as a time saver.
As times have changed I still find value in Hunter.io when searching through a prospects website but just as a time saver. It no longer pulls information I wouldn't be able to find on my own. I understand that it is possible that the old way of doing things just isn't possible anymore but non the less it does drop the value for me.
Saving time by scrapping emails from websites more efficiently.
