We started using Cognism after switching from overseas researchers to do our cold email prospecting. The product is easy-to-use and offers a ton of value for the price including triggers including Hiring, Job Postings, Fundings - as well as Install-Base Technologies- an all around package that was tough to beat for the price. They have a really responsive support team who have gone above and beyond to make sure that we have been getting the most value out of the platform. They've suggested campaign variations for outbound messaging (something that we haven't gotten from from our Outbound ESP) to make sure that our campaigns were delivering. We've definitely experienced that they want our company to "win".
Although it's tough to do an apples-to-apples comparison for a database provider that is much more economically priced, Cognism isn't going to be able to match some of the top providers for Direct Dial numbers (e.g. Zoominfo/DiscoverOrg). That said, their team does offer generous support to verify additional contacts with a fairly reasonable 24-48 hour turnaround, and compares favorably to the market leaders on email contact coverage.
Cognism has a huge benefit for companies in the recruiting/staffing industry looking to prospect for companies hiring for specific roles- we used it to locate, and win, a fairly large deal 2 months into our contract with them.
Reasonably quick and intuitive UI for easy onboarding and prospecting. It still manages to offer deeper specifications and filters without becoming overwhelming. The service also includes several integrations into other major sales platforms like Salesloft and LinkedIn SalesNavigator, which I use daily.
The price point is on the high end of the spectrum, so a cost-benefit analysis is definitely in order. I've also experienced a bounce rate of about 85% on the sourced emails, but these are personal statistics for the Norwegian market.
It's a vital part of my prospecting process. Without it, I would not have the same access to the contact information that I have today, or I would at least have to spend a lot more time getting it.
A mix of great customer service and a user-friendly UI that helped me to rarely need to reach out to them. I love how I can manage the whole process from searching for the right leads, reaching out and following up in a personalised manner and being able to easily report on my findings to my CEO. Before finding Cognism I was having a hard time trying to find a solution to engage with B2B leads that was cost-effective, had a large pool of contacts/data and allowed me to manage the outreach myself without having an Account Manager, and Cognism checked off all of those boxes for me and my team. Overall, using Cognism has helped us reach out to the right audience and grow our brand recognition globally due to the targeted outreach that we were struggling to get.
Though we did reach a number of leads in our intended audiences around the world, we found that certain markets didn't have as many verified leads as we might have hoped for the search criteria that was entered. That said, the data team helped us out a lot to help refine our lists.
I work in a really small team. Before using Cognism I was having a hard team trying to reach out to the right audience in a timely matter. I was doing a lot of cold outreach and spending hours getting low-quality leads, or very few good quality ones. Cognism helped me reach out to thousands of the right leads using precise search filters and by personalised emails which have shown to be the most effective avenue of communication for us. I think the biggest benefit I've realized throughout the past 6+ months using Cognism has been the time I've saved.
Cognism integrates with both SFDC and our SEP (SalesLoft). We have been able to utilize the tool to find new leads based off of industries as well as intent data. In addition, we have also been able to enhance the data of the current leads we already had. One of the things that has continued to stand out to me is that the tool has gotten better with more features over time. The other thing that I would feel terrible about if I failed to mention is just how awesome their support is. We have a dedicated account manager who checks in with us on occasion, ensures we know about new features that would be relevant and is just overall highly available to answer any support questions we have. I would highly recommend Cognism to anyone looking for leads to any industry that is present and active on LinkedIn.
I don't have a lot to add here. It's a new feature and I am sure is still being enhanced, but I would love the ability to add more filters when searching for new contacts within current existing accounts in our CRM. The ability to filter by customer fields, perhaps? Overall, I really don't have anything to complain about.
I trialed out SeamLess, ZoomInfo and a couple other tools before using Cognism. What has stood out is that the data is better (Diamond Verified #'s are awesome!) and the verified emails are great too. We had a short trial of Cognism before signing a contract and from that trial, we saw a 100% ROI on the price of our annual membership - which meant it was a no brainer. We have been able to find relevant contacts within businesses that show intent data, enhance our current database of leads and overall this has solved many of the issues we were dealing with before.
Incentivising for a genuine review of a product or process is definetely a great move and making it available for all the Critics and reviewers is appreciated
As of now, there is nothing that i could review without using the interface, and juicing out the benefits.
Solving for genuine feedback on a particular feedback is definietly required, which would turn out to be a decising factor before getting hands on the same.
The demo is very slick and the flow seemed like it would save our SDRs time. The team is responsive, but the product is not GA at scale.
The product we bought and implemented vs what we were sold are night and day. This is not an enterprise ready product, maybe for a small business it could be a fit. Problems with SFDC integrations and bad data quality have prevented any value.
None, we were hoping to solve several workflow and SDR efficiency issues, however the data quality and buggy product have prevented any value actualization.
Cognism is was very targeted prospecting tool that has truly helped us with lead generation. They have gotten us connections with some really large scale quality SaaS companies that have turned into fruitful partnerships. We value their expertise on global lead generation, communication and finely targeted prospects. We have worked with a lot of lead generation companies in the past and have never had more of a positive experience than with Cognism. They also have excellent customer service! We have felt that the Cognism team is an extension of our own. They are responsive, collaborative and very helpful almost daily.
We love everything about Cognism! There are not a whole lot of things we would change about the service. The only wish we would be that the monthly credits rolled over. :) As a unique agency, we don't always use these credits monthly and it would be awesome if we could use them where needed in our own prospecting campaign.

We never had to evaluate or reaffirm our target market with the Cognism team, they were alway son top of it We have had many conversations with enterprise companies that we would not have been able to get in front of on our own.
