"Flexibility, Power, Increased Transparency, Automation"
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

We needed a robust commission calculation tool that could integrate with our CRM and keep up with our frequent commission plan changes and CaptivateIQ is able to do just that. The onboarding experience was great, ongoing support is great, and I truly feel like CaptivateIQ is a valued member of our commissions team and invested in our success. They're always open to user feedback and continue to roll out new features, improving the overall commission processing experience. Reps and management now have the latest commission data readily available and can focus on higher value add activities.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

With power and flexibility comes some complexity. Getting to know the backend of the platform took a bit of time, but if you're used to Excel and it's formulas the layout and tools are pretty intuitive.

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Automation, integration, accuracy, transparency, insight.

What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

I like that captivate IQ incentivizes leadership and people teams to create a space where boots-on-the-ground employees can provide feedback and critical input to better a company's culture and methodologies.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I haven't necessarily found something I "dislike"; I think it'd be helpful if there were ways to gamify or incentivize leaders to do more to bring more captivate IQ surveys out to their employees (i.e., provide stats from captivate IQ surveys of a really well-run or high rated company in terms of culture, and what sort of results their employees shared so that others can follow-suite or be inspired)

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were able to solve culture questions at my last company, as well as share how we thought sales processes and leadership could improve. It also gave us a safe space to feel we could share some of the water-cooler/after-hours talks that our team was going on about anyways but didn't feel we had an adequate space to provide it in a more formal/culture-changing setting.

"Sales commissions transparency at it's finest"
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

I love how simple and easy it is to navigate the UI as you're looking to find answers about your payouts. I previously used Xactly at my former companies and CaptivateIQ is WAY better. I was always suspicious about my payouts in the past, but since we've started using CaptivateIQ, I'm able to clearly find what I'm looking for and feel confident that my commission is correct.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

There's not a whole lot that I dislike about the platform. The only feedback I provided was that I wish there was a way to read about your payout in more "plain text", rather than having to dig through different tables of data.

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Every month when I get paid, I like to go in and audit the different deals that closed, as well as review the team's attainment for the month. This helps me to ensure I'm getting paid the right amount, which is the biggest benefit of all!

"Great Dynamic Commission Software to replace excel"
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

CaptivateIQ is able to quickly calculate commission calc instead of calculating in big, complex excel file. CIQ is also able to integrate with sfdc for the sales data. Also having the commission info feed over to ASC 606 calculations is a big plus. Statements are super easy for people to access.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

The software is super dynamic and it may be hard to track when changes are manually made. When commission recalculations are made, it isn't super straightforward on the account statements what the difference is.

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

The commission file we originally used was in a complex excel file that took time to load and sometimes crashed. The same issue was for calculating ASC 606 expenses in excel - took a while to load and would sometimes crash. This isn't the case in CIQ. The amounts are easily accessible to those who need it and is much faster.

What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

Platform usability and interface are far superior and easier to manage than similar solutions I have used in the past. The ability to also ensure that all questions and responses from the team are consolidated, allows for a far smoother dispute resolution process.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

No real dislikes. All information is available and the ability to log questions directly from the portal is also a nice touch. While not a criticism of the platform, extending capabilities and adding additional 'value-add' functionality is something that would be welcomed.

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

A consolidated view of all commissions and the ability to easily raise questions from a single place.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

I would like to see more customization of dashboards within the platform and export functionality. Not sure if this is an actual limitation of the platform or if my company has just not utilized this functionality for its users.

"Clean, Clear, and to the Point"
What do you like best about CaptivateIQ?

Having such a clear and concise view of my compensation. The breakdowns by line item, % of quota, $ amount associated with each metric, etc. It's just fancy enough without having too many frills to overcomplicate what this is - a way to easily understand how much you're being paid.

What do you dislike about CaptivateIQ?

There's not much to dislike about CaptivateIQ. At times it feels as if you can tell there will be later iterations of the platform - be it UI, UX, etc. - because the look and feel can seem a bit rudimentary. But then you remember what this solution does for you which is making your compensation easy to understand and view and you almost don't want those later iterations.

What problems is CaptivateIQ solving and how is that benefiting you?

Better visibility into how I'm getting paid: what each of my metrics are worth, % of quota attained without having to calculate it manually, and the associated dollar amounts. I no longer have to ask my manager what my compensation for the month is - and I assume they enjoy no longer having to calculate these things manually or triage requests from the team related to compensation.
