Seamless email & calendar integration shows past and upcoming touch points making it easy to maintain momentum. Additionally, the product is being actively developed, the team has already implemented some improvements based on feedback I've given.
Only negatives are the price and the notes feature that doesn't support rich text.
Keeping track of all my active deals Maintaining regular cadence with ongoing partners Ensuring nothing slips through the cracks
Super easy and straight forward product with a fast learning curve. The ability for CRM entries to continually refresh automatically is a huge value add. Beyond using the product as CRM entry, it is slowly becoming a system of record. Customer service team is also extremely responsive and supportive. Affinity takes our user experience feedback seriously and works with us to constantly improve the product.
At this time, it can not replace other use case specific CRM - such as talent/recruiting- as it lacks use case specific data fields and data viewing permissions.
Affinity helps us manage our data base of people, company, and interactions in a systemiatic and automatic way. There is no way to track the breadth and depth of our network activities without a tool like Affinity.
I am regularly meeting new companies and founders, and without some type of CRM, I don't know how I'd keep everyone straight in my head. Setting reminders and keeping additional data makes sure fewer things fall through the cracks, helps me prep for meetings, and overall keeps things running smooth.
While I know it's the product best situated for VC, it still doesn't feel fully invested in making the VC use case a native experience. It required some customization and adjustment to really make it fit our workflow. It also doesn't have easy ways to integrate with some of our other tools, e.g. Pitchbook.
We use data from Pitchbook pretty regularly, and I wish it integrated more easily into the CRM files. They have a solution, but it is quite expensive and doesn't feel like a clean integration. The web browser extension also requires frequent login, which can be frustrating.
I like how it aggregates data and allows you to add personalised values that can be used to track certain specific data points relevant to our business.
The downsides are that often we input a lot of data, but can't always visualise it in a helpful way to our colleagues. Ends up only being relevant to the users who use it frequently, rather than those in your organisation unfamiliar with the product.
Been able to keep track of important pieces of information relating to our LPs (investors) allowing us to make informed decisions and bespoke and relevant outreach campaigns. Also been able to track the movement of our investors through the pipeline, making it obvious which investors are progressing quicker and more seriously than others, which can serve as a prompt to nudge earlier conversations along the funnel if needs be.
I've been able to effectively collaborate with key team members to amplify our networks. The ability to have so much collaboration creates more value across our networks. I've also found the product to be extremely easy to use.
So far so good! There isn't anything I don't dislike.
Managing relationships -- tracking recent contact points. Combining networks -- to surface new connections.
Helps me visualize pipeline, strength of relationships and owners in certain tech names without having to individually source and build lists manually.
I actually think they could partner with another one of Joe L.'s companies/tools that I utilize and would make it even more powerful.
More effective follow-ups, Relationship connectivity visualization, strength of relationships, Help me extend sales pipeline.
Access to support is key. There are many aspects to understand and direct access to support simplifies the frustration.
There are many variables in Affinity which feel overwhelming. Integrations could also be more simplified.
Group integration within our company. Shared resources. We are solving efficiency and redundancy. One system for collective effort.
Affinity is a unique solution that has redefined how we think about relationships. Within an easy-to-use UI, our team has been able to create "Alliances" which is a basically a universal rolodex with valuable insights powered by machine-learning. As a result, we're able to source and close more deals, quicker (and also uncover opportunities we didn't know were there).
Not much to dislike, but I'd like to see more reporting and data that's relevant to our vertical (healthcare). I've shared this feedback with the product team and they were responsive.
Business is all about relationships, and historically "relationships" are scattered across CRMs, social media, email, and cell phones. Affinity not only provides a more cohesive view, but provides insights into who knows who throughout our organization. We're able to source and close more deals, quicker.
