Adobe Dreamweaver is part of the Adobe Creative Cloud which also includes Photoshop and Indesign. The platform lets you create and design websites, with a combination of visual and HTML editing tools. With Dreamweaver, web designers have the option to build fully responsive sites and bring their ideas to life, especially in terms of design and functionality. The solution also offers multimonitor support for Windows and is most suitable for developers with extensive coding knowledge.

I believe is one of the most complete coding programs. As a user, you have the ability to create and test a website without going live. It is very responsive and will allow you to change pages easily.
It is a program for coders. If you do not have any coding experience, it will be extremely difficult to create the website you wish.It does not pre-code for you.
Dreamweaver helps us with minimum troubleshooting on the website. Although we created it in wordpress, it helps to customize some characteristics that Wordpress won't let us.
Dreamweaver helps me not only learn specifically can be used in coding situation, but helps me to quickly run through commonly used code with little to think about.
Sometimes the program malfunctions and doesn't allow me to continue with what I am doing, causing me to shut down the software and restart.
Web coding made easy. The benefits of using Dreamweaver are fantastic, really beats having to code that by memory!
I like the fact that Adobe Dreamweaver is the one web design software that was taught in school for many years now. The design software can be used by beginners and experts alike as it became the staple for web design. I like that Dreamweaver lets you have a split screen for design and code which to me is very useful as I like to visualize the code unlike other software that just don't allow you to have any visualization. I also like the support that you can get through Adobe or pretty much any other means, since Dreamweaver has been around for some time and to me personally is one of the easiest web design software to use. There are lots of information and tutorials that can benefit beginners and experts alike.
I really don't have any dislikes about the software itself. I think the functionality of it is great and can do a lot of of the popular languages HTML, CSS, HTML5, PHP, Java.
I have learned to revise other HTML issues by simply pasting the code to Dreamweaver and looking for errors. We do a lot of email marketing and thus sometimes create our own HTML code for that using Dreamweaver.
All of the features dreamweaver provides. It's simple to manage a server of all of your active projects.
Not much to dislike on adobe dreamweaver.
I have created several web pages for multiple clients providing a portal for their show information.
I like the code hits in dreamweaver. It make writing the code a lot faster and easier.
That have been a lot of updates over the years. Every time it seems I have to get my tool panels setup the way I like them.
Allows us to code internally instead of contracting out our coding needs to an agency.
I like that I am able to design and code my website and see a side by side preview of the page. It does come with build in frameworks like JQUERY and Bootstrap. It supports Github, SASS, and PHP. It provides great tools for organizing your folder structure. You have the ability to hand write code but it also comes with great tools to design and develop without having to write code yourself. You can also preview on your device as well as in multiple browsers.
It's not as advanced as other code editors. You can't install your own plugins. It's not the best for modern web development. It's more for web designers than backend developers. No support for NodeJS or advanced Javascript frameworks like REACT, Angular, or VueJS. The split design preview is not as accurate as the actual browser. If you are a more experienced web developer and designer and write your own code, some of the beginner features can get in the way.
The ability to create page templates for websites that other designers on my team who aren't as advanced can use down the road. It is very entry level and easy to use but it still has some pro features.
I love that Dreamweaver provides a seamless connection between code and graphic user interface. It's really easy to find errors in coding and develop good demo websites for those who need a good graphical representation.
Sometimes the different view options can be confusing, and it's often difficult to load the website you're working on and all of the different files.
I use Dreamweaver to emulate what I would like our websites to look like. Typically, our franchise network works with Wordpress, so I create the website in Dreamweaver and then give the copy of the website and the coding to our developers.
It is very easy to use and maneuver my way through in designing my website. It heped create my pages and helped me with coding as well. With 9nly having little to no experience this was the perfect application to help mold everything together.
I did need outside help for more complex options I wanted to add to my site, but that was all. I did not do the tutorial, but I bet it would've helped.
It costs a lot to go through a professional and have them build or design my site, so being hlable to do it my self saves me money.
Dreamweaver has an incredible interface with all integrated tools available for you to use to make your website. The best thing i like about dreamweaver is that it has all the tools you need, it has integrated tools like no other software.
From the vast majority of the tools available for you to use and make the best out of the software, there are few downsides however. I do not like speed, it is a bit too slow for website building.
I have used this software to find problems in E-commerce website such as payment gateway, redirecting to the right website after purchase.
I love the Adobe CS6 Suite, so it's no surprise I prefer working with Dreamweaver as well. My favorite thing about this software is that it is very user-friendly and has a smooth connection with the other programs.
There really isn't anything dissatisfying with Dreamweaver.
Dreamweaver assists me in day-to-day document design and publishing. It works for me because I'm always doing minor, last-minute tweaks, and Dreamweaver allows me to easily make those tweaks, plus updates automatically.
I learned to develop websites using its graphical interface back in 2006 when it still belonged to Macromedia. After so many years it is still up with industry standards.
Actually, the features it was missing such as colored text or in depth searching have been implemented in the last few versions making it a product that is not lacking any feature which I desire to do my job.
Dreamweaver is my code editor of choice.
I have been using this IDE with other ideas to ensure that I'm able to correctly transfer my ideas from my head to the internet. I like it's easy of use and auto correction, it gives Dreamweaver a huge upper hand compared to other IDEs. I also like the UI better than the others. It also helps when converting our PSD's into actual websites.
I wish it had been expanded to support other languages more fluently like Visual Studio. It also runs into bugs when you try to update one Javascript file with new information, and it won't accept it.
I am able to convert our ideas and designs into code which is then turned into an actual website, it does it clean and flawlessly. Making our job easier especially with it's ability to recognize tags and recommend bug fixes.
I've used several website designing systems before and I find, as I often do with Adobe systems, that I prefer Dreamweaver over all others. My professional team is still in the process of designing an official website, but through it we've had the best success with Dreamweaver. The live preview is a fantastic feature that has helped me spot many errors in not only code but also design. Code Highlighting has also been a lifesaver because it makes finding my mistakes so much easier.
The code needed to make certain processes happen can be bulky sometimes, but that's normal for any coding software. I haven't gotten the chance to utilize all the features available, and I feel some of that comes from how hidden certain features are. I know that it would cause a lot of bloating on the pages to make everything very obvious, but I feel there's so much that it can be overwhelming at times.
I use Adobe Dreamweaver for both personal and professional use. I've been able to create websites for profit on the side to generate extra income because of my understanding of the basics and beyond of dreamweaver in addition to my coding experience.
I love the double view so I can see what my code is creating and if I missed anything. It is such an easy program to use.
It would be nice to be able to edit the 'live' part of the double screen to see where my code is wrong if I can't figure it out - but that's just being picky!
It allows me to edit my HTML and CSS before I implement it in WordPress.
My portfolio needed to represent me and my art. I didn't want a readymade site that looked like everybody else's. I was able to import custom images and place them exactly where I wanted them. Everything was customizable and I could even drag things around. I wanted the site to have a textural element and was able to do cool rollovers that felt visceral.
This program is great! I'm excited to keep learning and making my portfolio even more refelctive of my style.
The website is up and running, so I'm happy! I can send my clients and prospective buyers to the site to check out my work. That's all I needed!
So many options to chose from to make your design as unique and original as possible.
If you’re inexperienced it takes some getting used to.
Creating media designs
The possibility of seeing the design and the code on the same screen. The use of tables is very practical and the support area is quite good
You can not import code from other HTML softwares because some parts are not compatible and the page is distorted.
We always carry out the HTML developments in this software, it seems practical and with many resources.
I like the ability to quickly code and see the changes on the live section
I dislike some of the quirks that come along with coding and I wish Dreamweaver was able to adjust for them
I am able to hand code emails and websites since using Dreamweaver
Once you overcome the learning curve, Dreamweaver has every feature needed for designing, testing, and launching websites to their full potential. The limitation is only in the user's skillset and knowledge of HTML, CSS, javascript, and any code in general. The best feature is the cross platform testing, where you can preview the finished code in a polished format on small - to - large screens and multiple browsers to ensure cross-browser/platform compatibility. The second best feature is how it automatically parses and highlights code, allowing you to jump around from line to line, while visually seeing the colors change depending on the type of string. The CTRL+F (FIND) feature is powerful, as it allows you to search throughout a websites entire structure, an entire folder, or if you wanted to simply the document that is open. So you can search for a small code string in an entire websites files.
It does have a large learning curve, the UI, typical to all Adobe software in the suite, can be a bit intimidating at first, and may hide features unbeknownst to the user. Requiring the average user to forage into tutorials and online help forums or the Adobe help site to dive into some of the most beneficial features of the program, such as the "Put" and "Get" functions and the customization of server-to-local file synchronization.
Building websites for clients, from scratch using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and flash. I am able to design full interactive web pages using designs from Photoshop or Illustrator, and convert them into user-friendly, fully functioning websites.
I love how the software has auto fill options. It makes it great for beginners and experts who want to move through their code quickly.
I dislike the tabs and how it doesn't always make it clear what tab your are on and which ones are your CSS and which ones are your HTML.
One great benefit is you can preview how your code works in an actual web browser before you save over previous work. It also finds errors in your code quickly so you aren't having to review every single character in the code to find your issue.
