I love the amount of data included in Cognism / most start ups on my market are included with pretty accurate numbers as well.
For my company, there is no option to bulk upload leads, or integrate with our CRM.

Data coverage okay, contact volumes good, deliverability average. Better than others for UK and defintely better for Europe than US based tools like ZI. UI good, fairly easy to use, integrations, good.
Firmographic data unreliable even for revenue figures publicly available for UK companies. Costly for bulk credits.

Cognism has helped to secure the best connect rates I've seen from similar calls (minimum of 8% on a bad week. With this, I can reach more of the right people - something particularly useful for cold outreach. Its integration with Hubspot and Salesloft is flawless and makes the browser extension super easy to use.
Similar to other providers (like Lusha, LeadIQ etc), there will always be some incorrect details. The diamond verification system can sometimes help with this, however, there is also a habit of people with the same name (or even the wrong name sometimes) being classed as diamond verified. The platform is also sometimes at odds with Linkedin Sales Navigator - especially when people are in two roles at once.
Cognsim allows me to source the emails and phone numbers of key decision-makers at companies that could be potential clients. It finds more emails and numbers than competitors I've used and it does so with better accuracy, which reduces my bounce rate and increases my deliverability. It makes the process simple and easy - so much so that using Cognism is almost an afterthought.

You can apply many filters to ensure you get the best final data lists possible for your clients. The plugin for LinkedIn is also incredibly useful. We often use Cognism for our more technical clients, the complexity of the platform enables us to really drill down to the more niche job roles withing companies
De-duping is an issue for us; we buy so much data from different sources that it's always difficult to put our exclusion list into the system. Its a longer process than we would have liked

Cognism has proved to best database for Europe and the middle east in terms of the number of contacts available. As per my experience, I was able to get details of up to 40% of contacts/points of contacts that I entered.
UI is very plain and not easy to use. Exporting contacts can be a challenge as every page of 25 contacts has to be exported separately. This creates and issue when bulk exporting contacts
Prospecting tool that is best suited to EMEA and APAC geo.
I use Cognism pretty much every day for prospecting, outreach and monitoring intent data. The biggest attraction of the platform for me is that it is the only solution that effectively covers both of our core markets (the U.S. and U.K.). I have found the quality of data in the U.S. to have been excellent in the past 12 months, and this has helped to lift our connect-to-dial rate considerably. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as a data provider.
The downside in the beginning (2020) was a lack of quality emails and numbers for the U.S. but this has improved massively in the last year. I now find it indispensable for list building. The email (engage) part of the system involves uploading and downloading .csv files, which can be fairly clunky. I would prefer some kind of integration with a Salesforce report.
The major problem Cognism is solving for me is that I needed a data provider and outreach platform for the U.S. and U.K. I tested a range of providers and had trouble finding a supplier that had quality data for both.
I like how easy it is to navigate around the platform. The online chat is the most impressive part, each person I speak to is always happy to help. They are all very knowledgeable of the platform.
The minimum sends are definitely a downfall, especially when you have multiple campaigns happening at one time. It has happened 4 o more times now where the campaign has become corrupt and has stopped sending the emails. Which has meant a lot of faff to get it up and running again and has subsequently caused delays to the campaign, when this happens I do not get notified which means I have to check daily, which also takes time from my day.
It's benefiting me by helping me send up out emails to my prospects.
The UI is simple and easy to use, and the data coverage is great.
Sometimes plug-in is a bit glitchy on Linkedin SN.
Enriching the data of prospects.
The best thing about Cognism is that it allows complete accessibility to companies within your pipeline. I use Cognsim on a daily basis If i struggle to find a phone number for the office or if I need to send a more direct email address.
There's not much I dislike about Cognism; if I was to be picky, I think I would love more industry categories within the prospecting tabs simply because there are a few missing vital categories that can massively benefit some companies while prospecting.
As Cognsim can access contact information, it allows me to find information that the prospect's website does not provide. If I am ever in a situation where I need to email/call a particular person, I turn straight to Cognism for assistance.
No B2B - Lead/data gen is perfect. However, what Cognisim provides is simply a higher cut against its competitors... personality, actual humans and extra value from the team in addition to their core offering. They understand their customers - lots of helpful SDR content, emails, and webinars. No fluff and genuinely helpful and insightful. Not just a B2B Lead Gen... a source of knowledge for B2B sales!
Conscious that not all data will be accurate/up-to-date. I won't hold Cognisim against this too much as I simply believe they capitalise data where they can and, more often than not, have more data than their competitors.
Finding the best details, numbers and emails to ensure quality outreach lands and hits the channels they are using. Through their diamond-quality data they also give confidence that I can reach specific prospects with certainty.
