I started using cloudways for myself inititally and then started moving some of my clients to the same platform, and a couple of them still use it to this day. I find it easy to set up and the integration of various services makes it easy to scale digitally.

Price wise, they are not the most competitive option for someone like me who has to host 100 websites and manage them in an affordable way.

It it great to lauch an app and also the option to choose where to host it. Also the reliability is great as it is based off of major hosting providers like Google, Amazon and the like.

i can fully manage the server from one platform easily instead of managing the server manually the old way. its comprehensive with all features like SSL and cloudflare paid service.

cloudflare needs to be enhanced as the TTFB time is long since im in middle east (DUBAI). also i wish if cloudways can provide servers in UAE or GCC region to enhance the speed more.

- The free backup solution is very good in cloudways where i can get back to any date easily which is not available in other platforms. - Full view of Server utilization which is also not available in other platforms. - Dedicated Own IP address for each server.

It's really a smooth experience I've been using cloudways for years and very little issues and great prices and server variety.

The support could be a little faster/better but I do always get an issue resolved.

I'm able to scale up my server to add more client websites or down as needed too. It's super fast and easy to spin up a new site and get running.

Managing cloned applications can be challenging. Once you have multiple servers and cloned applications, you must be mindful of checking the namespaces. I often make mistakes getting SFTP credentials on other applications hosted on another server.

I was able to deliver the project faster. The staging feature also helped our developers to test new features and updates which doesn't exist on managed server providers.

The servers they offer are fast. More pricey than others. But it's worth it since you get 24/7 customer service with skilled employees who know what they're talking about.

the ease of deploying a server in recognized providers such as Vultr or Digital ocean, they also have excellent support and the server configuration is optimal for speed

when we wanted to take the cloudways service we did the respective tests with a Vultr server, unfortunately we did not choose the high frequency server option, this caused our instance to suffer performance drops despite the fact that it was used in a single site and it was a plan 4gb ram and 2 core, we did other tests directly with amazon with the same configuration and the performance had a huge improvement, the option that cloudways offered us was to increase the size of the server but the cost was very high and this option was not possible .

At this moment we manage an instance to carry out tests and it is going very well, unfortunately we could not locate our live sites here due to the cost, but in general all the contribution of cloudways is very positive

Easily manageable and secured. Very handly for Wordpress and PHP sites. Specially Codeigniter and Laravel.

Can't downgrade the server's current plan.

Cloudways should add different dashboard for WordPress users so they can customise easily.

When my clients need an ecommerce and it is required to be fast.

It's easy to create a new site within 3 minutes. Backups are automatic. TTL is cut in by 80% compared to my previous VPS.

Caching and SSL aren't always optimised.

The GUI is very intuitive and modern, it provides lots of very useful features in a way that makes logical sense. It's very easy to perform the tasks I need to do on a daily basis whilst also providing advanced features that I need as a web developer.

When connecting to a server or application via SFTP using Cyberduck, the credentials expire after a very short period of time meaning I have to login again to continue making changes. I understand this is for security however especially when developing on non-live staging environments, it's very frustrating.

Scalable cloud hosting for larger websites whose demands may increase over time as their business increases, this allows us to work with larger clients and keep them happy and their websites performing well.

What I like most is the flexibility of the program. I often have peaks in my site visitors and cloudways handles it perfectly.

It´s a bit pricey, however I haven´t really had any issues with it.

I never have problems with downtime anymore. Also, the site speed is excellent.

Easy to create a new VPS. Regular backups and easy to restore in case of problems. Saved my skin more than once. Fast UK servers. Not bad pricing and easy to upgrade a VPS as required.

Support is often vague and less than helpful. Occasionally they have DNS outages which causes the CNAME to fail and the site to go offline. I've resorted to using only IP addresses.

Takes away the hassle of hosting dozens of sites. Ideal for clients who don't need on-server emails. Minimal management required and no specific technical experience required.

The ability to create easily staging website or even duplicate it. The backups offers as well a great value

We've been using the Cloudways platform for over a year now, most frequently with DigitalOcean servers, we find the servers and pricing to be excellent value and the support is responsive, knowledgable and genuinely helpful.

There are really no downsides, if you do not need 'bare metal' servers then Cloudways offers a great option
